I just watched the most WONDERFUL MOVIE!Posted Nov-14-06 12:12:58 PST Those in search of a good family film need look no further... Last night we watched the most WONDERFUL movie called "Akeelah and the Bee," (stars Laurence Fishburne, Angela Bassett, and Keke Palmer) a film all about the sport of the SPELLING BEE! My niece (in 5th grade) is going to be in a spelling bee tomorrow. She won in her school and is going on to compete with other school winners at another school! I thought it would be nice to give her a little gift so I bought this movie for her, but we watched it first to make sure it was appropriate, as we weren't familiar with it. It exceeded our expectations! In fact, I would love to see it again sometime, but will need to get another copy! ha! If you haven't seen it yet, and enjoy wholesome, DOWN-TO-EARTH family films free of strong sexual content, flashy effects, etc, you are going to LOVE this one!! It held my attention from beginning to end.. I am so happy someone made this inspirational movie for everyone to enjoy!!
