Way back when ebay blogs started off it was common to find the posts
showing up on google searches. Now, that doesn't seem to be
the case so much. I just went through a few of my 'ol buds posts and picked out some keywords for a google search. I would go back as far as page 3 on the results and not a single blog post was found. For those that knew me back when I left ebay, you may remember that I predicted Google would eventually stop giving ebay's blogs so much attention because of the lack of real content published here. So, can you still get some google love? Sure you can. If you are a serious seller and want to use the blogs to their full google potential... 1. Be determined to write about things you love or anything that you find interesting and include links to your items along the bottom or on the sides. (With that in mind you will want to code links to your items because the widgets do not show up in RSS readers.) What is RSS ? 2. Get a domain name for your blog 3. Submit your content to google http://www.google.com/webmasters/ 4. Create another ebay username for your common chatting/bickering on the blogs. There is where you can put you widgets also. Learning how to get Google to show you some love takes time but it is worth the effort. I am still working on this myself, but in the 3 months I have been blogging I am happy to see that my google pagerank is improving all the time. For tips on writing blog posts visit Problogger
