New Ebayers manipulating Feedbacks

Isn't aweful that we have a flawed system that favors the new over the seasoned. My explanation is simple. New Ebayers that have no intention to stay only to manipulate the feedback system gets to be frustrating. Don't you hate the fact that someone can open a Ebay account win a bid with no intention to buy only to not pay and leave negative feedback on a honest seller. I know it has happend to me more then once. The this is its the same person with multiple accounts and he is bragging to me that hes doing it and going to see if he can get me suspended. Its a sick game hes playing at my expense.

Sounds terrible,
I hope it does not happen to me. What can a seller do in a situation like that?

i miss the ebay from 10 years ago

Hey are you on Big Crumbs yet? Do you have auction widgets that pay you per click and referral? Well come take a look at my ABOUT ME page and you can see it from there. You can advertise your eBay Store there for free. Plus, you get money back from purchases you make and other people you refer. You can cross-promote your pictures and more. Feel free to ask me any questions.

This response is directed towards the writer of the note about the new system, it occurs to me that you do not have to use it. What is forcing you to use eBay anyway? You could just sell your stuff elsewhere. Manipulators and newbies - seems like you can limit who you sell to. You can say seller must have at least a score of 50 and a % of 97 or greater. Sounds simple enough. Negative feedbacks - even when YOU deserve one you have gotten a positive.

Without the fear of backlash from an outraged seller for getting a negative mark, buyers can more accurately rate the sellers for their customer service. These things can be based upon such matters as a seller requiring an immediate payment but not getting the item in the mail for about a week. This may be normal but immediate payment for immediate service seems fair.

I can sight one example if asked to support this whereby the seller did this thing and then got a positive feedback with some less than positive remarks. The seller was not happy about it and made excuses in response to the remarks about him making excuses. The buyer and the seller both know the truth. The seller said it would be shipped the next day but then claimed sickness and then a postal holiday, 3000 miles away, etc....etc.... etc.....

In the end, I do not think there is a conspiracy. It is just business, big companies make changes to earn them more money, and more. Sellers have to be creative to stay on top. They need to be proactive and write a binding statement that is attached to each of their ads. It can be small.

Whatever the case may be, I disagree. I hope you will be able to do what you say you are going to do in the future and prevent a real Negative feedback, and not just some honest words on a POSITIVE + feedback.
