Carbon Footprint & recycling padded envelopes.

Sometimes at Retro Jewellery we re-use the padded envelopes received, if they are in good condition. I think it is a good idea to help reduce the carbon footprint of an online shop and I am often wondering if the girls and women who buy jewellery from our ebay shop are in favour of doing this more often to achieve a lower postage rate. (The inner packaging of the jewellery would of course still be yummy and included in the flat rate post and packing fee).

Come to think of it surely shopping online uses less energy than going into town as you don't have to drive or get the bus, just a couple of minutes on the computer and you are done with buying your gorgeous and unique jewellery, leaving plenty of time for hair and make-up :).
