Live Help answered about FB changes (FINALLY)

Live Help doesn't know when the FB changes will occur but it is definitely in May.

Also, any transaction that occurs before the FB change will operate under the old FB exchange system even if FB is left after the change kicks in. So, any disgruntled buyers who had a transaction before the FB change & leave FB after the change with the idea that they won't get punished with a mutual neg. are in for a surprise.

It was like pulling teeth to get an answer from them but I hope this is helpful to any of you who were also wondering about this.

Yes, I'm BITTER about Ebay

As a buyer and seller (under different ID) I am constantly frustrated with Ebay. It's the biggest game in town so I've stayed for the past 8 or 9 years. It's increasingly difficult to buy or sell with successful outcomes and Ebay, being the King of Auctions, is non-responsive to the very people who line their pockets.

If the Detailed Seller Ratings were applied to Ebay (excluding the shipping time and shipping cost because they don't ship anything except for their propaganda catalogues from time to time)  it would look like this:

COMMUNICATION : Zero

ITEM AS DESCRIBED: Zero

I've searched Ebay's site and inquired from other Ebayers concerning the new FB system and when will it be instituted. It's interesting that no one knows the answer. LIVE HELP..It's impossible to reach them.

There are so many problems with Ebay that I can't even address them all. As I said my seller persona will have to stay with Ebay although I really am coming to detest Ebay.

I just had to vent so please excuse me for being a downer.

Can I get a serious answer?

When does the new fb system kick in? Will transactions that occur before that date be bound by the old system even if fb is left after that date?

What the Heck?? Explain this one?

First off, I'm a buyer and seller. I don't sell under this ID. Recently I bought an item (320229792902) and the listing was for FREE shipping. It was Buy It Now. I paid instantly. Seller cancelled my payment and sent an invoice to add $14.75 shipping to the total. I obtained the contact info and called her. She launched into a sad tale about how confused she had been lately due to the death of a pet and made a mistake on the shipping. I expressed my sympathies as I know how sad losing a pet can be. At the end of the conversation the agreement was she would honor her listing terms of free shipping. So I sent another Paypal payment. Then she refunded that one. I called her again. She said she thought I understood she wouldn't be sending the item with free shipping because it was a mistake. She hung up on me. I left Neg. FB and filed Non-performing seller report with ebay. She of course left Neg. FB for me. Then she tried to get me to agree to FB withdrawal. If I hadn't meant she was deserving of NEG. I wouldn't have left it. Then she offered to honor her original listing terms on condition I'd remove the Neg. FB. Then she filed Unpaid Report on me. I answered it with all the Paypal pymt info and the info about her refusing my pymts twice. Then ebay offers the buyer two choices: I'll finish the transaction and send the money..or I'll let it go and the seller gets the FVF. Where is the sanity or fairness in this????? A non-performing seller gets off scot-free and does not have to honor terms of listings if they've made an error (or apparently if they have a change of mind) in the listing. Ebay gives the FVF back even though the seller did not complete the sale in order to save $14.75 shipping. What a flawed and silly system.
