Boardies are the most helpful

I opened up a discussion for the first time today, because I had a problem with some items that I had.  WOW, are the people on there wonderful, they did so much to help me out.  I have been sitting on about 40 starters and alternators for about 6 months, because I couldn't figure out what they went to.  With their help I was able to figure out a couple of them.  In fact, I was even able to list one tonight.  Thanks everyone, you have helped eliminate a stress and possibly put a little cash in my pocket for the holidays.  Boardies are the coolest!

Don't Steal my luck in the new year

This has been quite a year, I can't remember a year that has had more bad luck than 2006 has had for my family.  We started out 2006 with our truck being stolen and if that wasn't bad enough, it was by someone we knew.  He came into our garage, took the keys, to everything that we owned and took the truck.  We had to change the locks to everything that we own, do you know how expensive it is to change the ignition switched on 7 different vehicle, not to mention the door locks to the house & cars.  And to beat all the police didn't arrest the guy (he still lives next door to us) because there wasn't enough evidence to arrest.  The truck finally showed up last month, totally stripped and now the company that towed the truck wants $1756.00 for the tow bill and storage.  We took a $19,000.00 loss from the truck being stolen (it was paid for and we only had comprehensive insurance on it) then we had to replace the truck for my husbands work another $32,000.00 and now the tow company wants our money.  I don't know who ever said that we had this kind of money to throw around.  And if that doesn't beat all, my husband and had worked very hard to pay off all of our bills so that I could stay home with the kids.  I had quit a really profitable just one month prior to the truck being stolen.  Needless to say this Christmas is going to be a hard one. So I need to sell, sell, sell.  Please bless me little ebay fairy bless me like you never have before.

Automotive Parts & Accessories

My husband came across this fantastic deal,  several pallets containing automotive parts and accessories.  Apparently the items cantained in the pallets are from Pep Boys.  These items were items that they pulled due to damaged packaging.  I have alot of work ahead of me to get these items sorted and listed on eBay.  At the same time he purchased about 50 Bosch Alternators and Starters.  He got them at a great price, however we don't have the manual to show which automobile they go to.   So I am trying to figure out a way to get them listed on ebay so that we can move in our garage.  If anyone has any ideas I am certainly open to suggestions.  What I do know is, if I own a 2002 Ford Excursion I can find out the part # and match it with the part # on the alternators.  What I can't do is, take the part # and find out what vehicle it goes to.  So please help if you have any ideas.  I am really excited about this opportunity.  I have never sold automotive parts before so this is going to be quite a learning experience.  I haven't really even researched how well automotive parts do on ebay.  So I guess that would be my starting point.
