It is a web of unrelated scenarios and sucks you in from the first page. I won't spoil it..............go read it! I am so sure you will love this book!! charity and goodwillPosted Dec-19-07 12:42:40 PST I am a big believer in the "pay it forward" movement. I firmly believe you can change the world, one action at a time. Donating time, money and resources are very important, especially during the holidays. Someone once told me "charity is the rent you pay to better the world" and i've always tried to abide by this creedo. Happy holidays to all! "An Inconveient Truth"Posted Aug-22-07 21:12:49 PDT Our ecosystem is in dire straits. We need to take responsibility for our actions on this planet and make an effort to reverse the damage. If you have not yet done so, please find the time to watch "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore. The sight of the polar caps in the before and after photos will grab your attention. I hope everyone had time to watch even a little bit of "Live Earth". While it was criticized for it's lack of information and actions, it did serve to get people thinking about something other than themselves for a day. Change out your light bulbs, buy cloth bags in which to bring groceries home, get rid of your SUV or gas guzzling car. Strive to make your footprint on this planet as small as possible. Use renewable resources. Go green people!! The earth will thank you and your children and their children................ |
