Archive - July 2008 It raised $52 for the Humane Society!Posted Jul-29-08 05:50:21 PDT Updated Jul-29-08 09:37:03 PDT
Then I listed it again -- sweet_rose_treasures won it and donated it back. Queenie took a Second Chance AGAIN and donated it back again. The last person took a Second Chance also, and kept it for their granddaughter's room because the kittens look like her cat -- which was their right, they won it fair & square. So the cat plate raise a total of $52 and found a good home and will make a little girl very happy! Watch for more animal shelter sales from my store in the future (hint: The infamous Ugly Dish will be soon back....) This negative was a real POSITIVE!Posted Jul-25-08 16:30:02 PDT Updated Jul-25-08 16:35:14 PDT No colon cancer! My wife went in today for a colonosacopy because she has been having bowel problems over the past couple months. As I said earlier, we were worried it could be a tumor. She is a breast cancer survivor and has been cancer-free for 10 years but we were afraid it might have come back. Well, whatever the cause of her bowel upsets is, her colon looks fine, the doctor said. YAY! Thank you to everyone for your prayers and loving, caring concern. We will definitely be thanking God, too, this Sabbath! Peace & blessings to all. Kittens are thinking outside the box...Posted Jul-18-08 05:18:56 PDT Updated Jul-18-08 13:31:49 PDT
Annabelle's kittens are four weeks old now and ready to explore the world. So, I moved them to my room where I can keep them out of trouble and then cut a hole in the side of their box -- here's one peeking out for the first time. Literally "thinking outside the box."
There are four altogether (the 4th one was camera shy.) Oddly enough, the two orange ones are females. Most orange cats are male, but these sure look like little girls to me. The grey ones are boys. And speaking of boys, we have been babysitting my two grandchildren (ages 8 & 4) a few days this week and they sure love cuddling the kittens. Which is good, because cats need to be handled at this age to make them tame.
