Are people that stupid?

Are people that stupid! Some times I wonder. I am a amateur radio enthusiast and from time to time I want a manual or some doccumentation for some hardware. I do the typical thing and head for google. Google provides me with a number of choices 99% of the time. Almost every time I find atleast one or two eBay sellers who are selling manuals that I have seen and downloaded free from the manufacturer or some other site hosting them.

Now there are tow possabilities here. Either the seller is throwing his money away by listing items that are nlikely to sell. Or some people are that incapable of taking the initiative of looking for it on the net.

roxybyplus ... I'm sure you thought you'd get some good gray matter conversation here on the blogs ... but, you've probably figured out some of us have drinking problems and hit the bottle and the blogs at the same time.

Sometimes yes! I have a pristine Hallicrafters S-108 and i d/l'd a manual which was okay to fix it with. I purchase one online for 10 bucks and it's professionally bound and looks like an original. An original in perfect condition would have been better, but this completes my restoration nicely.

Good morning,
Yes it is true that you can get most info of the internet, but that being said, some or should I say most collectors of old equipment like to find all the documentation that was originally with the item, and yes the info on the net can be downloaded..but it isn't worth squat with the exception of the information that it provides. To have the actual manual that came with it increases it's value tremendously, and seeing as how some of these manuals are in excess of 40 and 50 years old, they are hard to come by in good condition.
I hope this doesn't offend you! I am or was a collector of old radios and so forth, I have spent the last year selling off my items, and am now down to NOS tubes...so sad to see it all go.....and as I read bricktechsup is a perfect example!!!
have a great day and thats for letting me sound off.
Best Wishes,
Kevin
