Yale has a commemorative gala event for past alumni every two years and award a portrait in oil on canvas to the honoree. Two years ago I was commissioned to paint five portraits in oil of past alumni of Yale University's athletic department. The people chosen for the portraits are prominent folks, some of whom you may have heard of. It was a great opportunity for me. With all of the portraits finished I was satisfied with and so were they.

This year Yale is doing it again and I've been fortunate to be chosen to paint the portraits. Problem is that they have chosen fifteen alumni to be painted, including George Bush the senior. That's a lot of painting in a short length of time! I know it's going to eat into my painting that I do for galleries and ebay but I will try to sneak a painting in now and then for the folks that enjoy my work.
