St. Elma's doctor Armando Gurrea, a reowned inventor of the stop smoking patch "Stop Smoking" denies he was smoking when this photo was taken by Milo Sanchez of the Houston Periodical newspaper.

Dr. Guerrea insisted he had just taken the cigarette away from a patient, and was preparing to extinguish it.  St. Elma's Hospital has become a world center for smokers to get a painless cure for the smoking habit.  Sanchez is not charging his story, the doctor was indeed smoking and Sanchez states he has to witness to prove it.  The hospital has not returned our calls to get their side of this story.

we love to do images of scarface because it says so much about our culture.....Toni Montana crosses and racial barriers.....and his images sell more than Elvis more than Marilyn.....our culture loves an illegal immigrant who is the biggest ganster killing and making his fortune in cocaine.....only in America........

 

this is my first blog entry on art that saves the world....in our lives at least here in the united states we are all about stuff....and our own personal stuff is the best...right?  But then when we pass our stuff on to our heirs maybe it is not so important to them...so its estate sale...what doesn't sell there at those estates...like us ends up in a land fill....it is my mission to make art out of objects treasured by someone a whole lifetime...maybe a pot that was in someone's kitchen for 50 years and it made the best pototo soup especially if one was sick...well now it's ed that's oh so grumpy....it won't make potato soup but when you look at ed maybe he will make you feel good too
