How do you save money: Long Term Food Storage

1.  Freeze Eggs:  Deshell either scramble them into your proportion size. or separate them into servings you use for baking or other cooking and label.  2.  Dry eggs (can last ten years)  Simple scramble your eggs as you normally would. Then spread on cookie sheet, place in oven on 135 degrees F for ten hours.  Put into blender once cool and blend to a powder. EGGS made this way can be added to dishes as you cook for protein on meatless nights.

Name some ways you cut food costs:

Kooky Pig Summer with Blogger Update

Day 2; in Cow and Chicken Town:  This morning we got up and fed goats at 6 am.  Nekkid Chicken lets the boys sleep an extra half hour while she feeds HILLARY & OBAMA her baby goats, water & feeds 45 chickens and let them out of their coops.  I did notice she will not let PSYCHO Cock out of his run with the harem.  Then she feeds and waters 60ish baby chickens in 3 coops.

Once inside we get Saenz and Zephyr ready for Today WASs Saenz's last day of school for the year. We took a picture with one of his teachers, Mrs Johnson.  Seems like his school was nationally recognized this year by the Department of Education for being one of the top ten primary schools in the nation. How cool is that?

Then after we go to Old_Lady_Lilly's, on the way we saw a 5 foot rattlesnake someone ran over with a truck then; cut its rattles off.  Nekkid Chicken would not let us get out of the farm truck because it still had its head. Then we watched movies and visited with Mrs. Lily and Mr. Dennis and ate lunch.  We then came home and check the water stations for the hens and put more water and feed out for the goats.  Let me tell you, it is so hot here in this part of Texas:  I THOUGHT I SMELLED BACON.

Next we just hung out in the air-conditioning until Daddy Nekkid came home and had dinner. Then we feed and watered chickens again. This is just a constantly working family but, it is nice because everyone is together and makes play from working.  I hear I will be leaving in the morning to visit Montana, near St Lois with Jartistic1.  I just wonder what this blogger has in store for our visit.

Well gotta go now, we are packing and getting ready for me to leave.

Take care:

Adventures of Kooky Pig:

Stow-a-way Summer  Blogging STYLE

Day 1:  Life in Cow & Chicken Town

Kooky has been spotted at the home of Nekkid Chicken. Life is hard work with Nekkid Chicken and her family.  First chore Kooky Pig learned how to do was laundry; not so much liking the clothes pin to the ear but she now understands how SAID EAR could become stretched enough to become a silk purse.

One other thing Kooky has learned how to do is fit in with chickens by laying a beautiful light blue green egg.  The pig even learned how to cluck and sound her new arrival just like the other hens and its a funny sound to hear qwoinksquawk combined into a summertime announcement.

(PICTURES and more adventures to follow! Flat Stanley will have nothing on this swine of our hearts.)

So Far Itinery is as follows:

Nekkid Chicken, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Beeville, 3 Rivers, George West Primary School Nationally Recognized for commencement ceremonies,  (Nekkid Chicken's Original Coop, Alabama), Sharty, Maggie, Barb7895, Bushell in Manhatten "Take a KOOK to Work Day. (Maybe even South Cali with Make_it_so_marketing with Mike & Tina.)

Watcha do to cut costs & save money?

I told you how I save around $150 a month by hanging clothes outside to dry.  I also have stopped buying paper towels--Big waste at 3 rolls a week. I also saved leftover cuts of meat, slice or dice it thin but into freezer bags then make Bar-b-que chopped meat in the crockpot.  Like a poor mans sloppy joes. YUM YUM

What have you done today?

Saenz and I got up at 6 a.m.:  Fed & water goats, let chickens out to roam, filled yard water buckets, took Saenz to school, filled up hubby's car and washed it, made breakfast for 3 of us, went to town ran errands, grocery shopped, talked to mom while washing dishes, washed 6 loads of laundry hung out to dry, made lunch, answer email, checked blogs after leaving feedback, did homework, talked to mommie Shartey on phone, sweep floors, played with Zephyr, washed dishes, did homework, flea bathed kittens and flea treated floors, Fed & watered goats.  (Do you notice a cycle here?)  ROFL

In a few mintues I need to go start dinner, then do dishes, give boys baths, read stories or watch TV, and lastly before the sun sets we closed the chickens up and read tomorrow's homework assignment.

Then hubby and I get maybe 15 minutes to talk before he passes out. ~:>

TA DAAAAAAAAAA, is it any wonder why I don't sell anymore? (We missed homeschooling today because of errands.)

Maggot has died

As you may have read, Butterscotch had her chick hatch this morning. My son Saenz named the little fuzz ball after military recruits. Seems it was not meant to be and Maggot was buried in our yard; he/she died of natural causes as it so happens with chicks.

Farewell Maggot

May you rest in peace

DAB-NAB-IT, I said salute

DON'T FOOKING IGNORE ME:  I want it crisp too, no fluffy faint wrists:  I mean pop one off.  Since you missed my blog here is it:

Maggot is our new arrival

Our hen, Butterscotch is a new mother.  Saenz named the baby Maggot after fine military tradition of calling new recruits this monniker in basic training.  Shartey, we are at 112 chickens. Whoooop Whooop, Salute for all military, DoDD Civlians, contractors, and family members serving past, future and present.

Is there intelligent life on the blogs?

There is in my bra! ROFL

Have U ever woke up with a STIFFY?

Welllll, neither have I but this avi makes me smile. ~:>

This PS will soon loose his ICON.

I have read oodles over the last four days about feedback. So here is just my take on why the feedback changes have taken place.  At bottom of this post is the events that happened; I purchased an item, it did not work, I contacted seller:  Well you can read.

Dear Mr. General Manager:

I for one cannot under circumstances sell out my ethics for you.  I will proudly wear your feedback as a badge of honor. Your first email back to me after I informed you of the FAULTY electrical component served as a warning as to the kind of seller you are.  Basically you wanted me to return the item at my expense, (a 7oz item which you sent priority mail and not in a flat rate cost box.) the email which implied to me from your tone; I was trying to pull a fast one on you.

Then you would forward another item of the SAME COUNTRY OF ORIGIN and quality while I would be out not only the cost of the original transaction but also return shipping with the possibility of getting another faulty item.   Then where would that leave not only me but the next customer who would purchase from your store?  So, I then was compelled to make the decision to not only absorb the cost of the item from your store but decide to not purchase from you in the future.

If, you had been so worried about your; feedback score, possible loss of your ICON, and fading DSR scores: then you should have offered excellent customer service. You should have stood behind not only your products for the reputation of your EBay store and status as a power seller.

Just from your canned letter in this request makes me question and wonder if you have done this before?  Another note to ponder: I did not receive this in my EBay email account so again, I wonder as to your true intentions.  I wonder if--EBay Trust & Safety needs a copy of your email to my personal off EBay account.   So no sir, $25 dollars or $25,000 would not persuade me to “mutually withdraw” feedback and erase your unethical treatment of honest buyers across the EBay community.  Good luck in your future endeavors on EBay.

With Respect,

Saenzmom, the Nekkid Chicken (Mal Torres)
