WTH is wrong with peeps anyway?

Seriously?  Whoopi Goldberg dropping the N-Bomb, a correspondent (caucasin) call a police officer Bubba (another racial slur.)  IS anyone here tired of racial or ethical slurs not counting all the other NAMECALLING?

The thing I find the most upsetting is that racism seems to be acknowledge only one way. white against black. I think that descrimination needs to be dealt with across the board and the world. It is much bigger than just black and white.

Molly, CNN had two stories back to back.

One was Whoopie and Elizabeth (Crying) over the use of the N-BOMB
Then another news reporter calling someone a epithat.

Cgood, I agree. I just hope I can teach my children not to hate based on race. Its so hard though in this small town.

It spills over into economic status,cars driven,the kind of shoes worn or not worn,being 1 color,two colors,and on and on.

saenz I just moved from St Pete Fl to north Fl on the boarder of Georgia. I think people get along better here than St. Pete. Which was shocking to say the least. Most are super friendly to everyone and this is truly rebel flag country. People discriminate aginst so many things like age, weight, looks, money, smarts, sex.....it goes on & on. Even minority groups discriminate aginst each other. Always amazes me.....

I agree Mal. Petty and trival seems to be the agenda. Sometimes I wonder if the "grown-ups" think they are still in highschool. And these "grown-ups" are teaching their kids the same unhealthy, shallow, narrow minded values.

Cgood, What kills me is; I refuse to take my ethnically mixed children to grandma's house because of racism. It makes me ill to think about what she would teach them. I love her but, I don't have to let her teach my children hate.

Hate breeds hate. Always has. Always will. It's really a shame that peeps can't get past colour, creed, outward appearance as in dress and hair style. The list foes on. You do your ownself and injustice by making your world so small and mundane. To open onesself to other cultures, races and religions makes the world a more vibrant, wonderful place to live and to raise healthy, open minded children. As you can see, I am a dreamer.

GOTH, I expose my children to as much culture as I can here. Saenz has lived in portugal and remembers the time well. I just don't understand the need to segregate oneself away from the beautiful diversity our Creator gave us. Really dumbs me

Bizzy, I saw that too. I wonder why its OKAY. It does not make any sense to me at all. Really, if my hubby would call a man that to his face. I would expect my husband to get his jaw lowered.
