Winter/Holiday Blues IN January Feedback

January has been a strange month of feedback, having received 5 negatives and 2 neutrals this month, this is a record high for any month since beginning sales on eBay. But other than most being new, inexperienced buyers whom fail to make contact with the seller when they have received the goods, there is no other explanation to such. Maybe it is the winter blues or the post holiday blues. Not really sure, as we have never had more than 2 negatives within a 1000 positive feedback period. Anyone have suggestions to this cause, I would love to hear them, as these folks could have had these resolved had they taken the time to contact us. There is always a reasonable course of action for such situations and we just do not understand how some can be so ignorant to not contact someone. To me, this would be like you completing a task at work, having done so, to what you felt was 100% of your capabilities and completed in a positive, well-intended fashion and then you arrive to work the next day with a note on your desk telling you that you failed your job yesterday and you are fired.. No explanation, no prior discussing of what lacked, nothing but a termination notice. You do not see that in your job away from the computer in the corporate work environment, why do we see it in the actions of some buyers. Granted it is a small few that are the problem, of the 100's of 1000's eBay members, it is still rather frustrating to see so many inconsiderate folks out there, maybe it is just the signs of the times. But if you had a boss that did the above, then trust me when I tell you, it is not a person or company one would want to be employed by to begin with, so you are better off, just as we are not better off having such persons blocked from purchasing from us, as we will always strive to surround ourselves with positive, responsible persons, just as we do in our day to day lives.

yeah i have definetly noticed some issues this month - a lot of people just don't contact me after they have received the product, i email and email with the tracking number and a friendly message still no response and no feedback. I don't understand it

I AGREE WITH YOU SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T REALIZE THE IMPACT THESE THINGS HAVE...WHEN ALL IT TAKES IS A WORD AND THINGS CAN BE WORKED OUT....I HAVE EVEN HAD SOME PEOPLE THREATEN TO LEAVE NEGATIVE....IE...A BOOK THAT SHE WANTED TO RETURN 3 WEEKS AFTER SHE RECIEVED IT....AND A MUSIC BOX...SAME THING WANTED TO RETURN AFTER IT ARRIVED BROKEN....SHE CONTACTED ME 3 WEEKS AFTER THE FACT....I WORK FULL TIME AND THIS EXTRA BUSINESS IS A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT....KEEP POSITIVE....SORRY I RAMBLED
