Most Recent Posts Cruel Intentions Coke Spoon Cross NecklacePosted Sep-08-07 23:55:55 PDT Good Evening All, Another night and I can't sleep....AGAIN....It's just shy of 3am. ARRRG. I know many of you have seen the movie, Cruel Intentions...right? Well, one of the main characters, oh, what's her name, Geller, was wearing a fantastic necklace. It was a cross that held a coke spoon... Looking far and wide, I have not been able to find one. I am afraid that it was made specifically for the movie and is not available. I've come close...but not really the one I wanted. If anyone has any ideas...please let me know. Thanks, Risa

Some of them are really cool and I am having some trouble with mine. I'd like to make it snazzy (lol) but, it's really a lot of work. Spring Summer Back Yard Celebration...What Do You Think?Posted May-05-07 11:16:25 PDT Whoever thought twenty years ago that we would be able to communicate like this. It is truly amazing that people from all over the globe can visit with someone many miles away. Fantastic.
I remember when you had to pay for long distance and watched the clock as you rushed through conversations with far-away friends and family. And, when you got your phone bill...OUCH ! Now, with computers and cell phones, it really is a joy.
Since blogging on Ebay...I have met some really nice gals and guys. Fellow artists and craftspeople who truly love what they do.
As an artist, I have so many loves...it's hard for me to decide what to do first. I guess that is the downside of being creative. You see so many things that you would love to tackle....get the supplies....and then something sneaks up and you want to do that too. I really have to put my foot down...mostly my pocket dictates what I can do. Some supplies are so darn expensive.
Some of the things that I like to do.....

Sun Catchers made with silver findings, antique chandelier crystals
& firestone crystals
Restoring discarded furniture
Hand Painted Garden Plaques
Crocheting and Sewing
Pen & Inks with Watercolor
Floral Arrangements & Wreaths
I was planning a Spring/Summer Back Yard Celebration down here in Dania with crafters and collectors' tables. We wanted to have about 8 - 10 tables. Decorate a huge back yard. Offer tea & lemonade and snacks to buyers. Advertise...also got a permit from our city. Music...sitting areas.... It would have been nice...but, at this time, only about 3-4 crafters/collectors have responded. So, a nice idea out the window.
How about any ideas that you have had that was fun and put some $$ in your pocket. Would love to hear from you.

Risa's Broomcloset Asks For HelpPosted May-04-07 12:56:11 PDT Hello One and All..... Recently, I made mention of my quest to help roughly around 30 homeless and ferel cats and kittens. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks that I have been feeding them every day. I have written and asked for comments...and you have replied....hopefully, when you read this post, you will read my other entries and comment with your own ideas. Normally, I will just hunker down and do what needs to be done. Unfortunately, my pockets are empty and if I contact organizations in the area for help....well, there aren't many options at this point....catch, neuter/spay and release to the same area or euthenization. Ferel animals are normally not adoptable. So many countries have non-kill organizations. The ones in South Florida are busting at the seams. This makes it so much harder...I have not slept well since feeding these little guys...and on occasion, have wept out of frustration. Forget about sleeping well...all I can see are all those little faces. Tonight I will be feeding them....and will sit as they eat. I would love to gather them all up in my arms and bring them home so that they can sleep safely on their own cushy pillows and play with their toys. At this point that is only a dream. Again, thanx to all those who have commented with their ideas for assistance. I am most grateful...and I know that each and every one of those little kitties are too. Peace to You and Yours, Risa
Unwanted Cats and KittensPosted May-03-07 23:20:17 PDT Hello Dear Ebayers,
For the past six weeks, every day I have been feeding, oh, I'd say, about 30 cats and kittens I just happened to see one day on my way to work.
I work nights so as soon as I come home, I make up their food, mixed with a bit of cooked chicken and veggies, warm water and kitten food.
In the beginning, they took their time to come for the food...now, as soon as my car drives up...and, I hafta be careful not to come in too fast, they are all around the car.
I put out ten little areas for them to come to. I sit down by my car with a small amount near me. There is one small kitten who comes right up to me and I stroke him while he eats. The others come over...I've touched another once or twice. Only this beautiful smokey blue and white kitten allows me to really pet him. And, today, he actually let me pick him up. I was so excited.
The reason I am writing this is because I cannot find anyone to help me with these sad, sweet creatures. I cannot go on feeding them...my pockets are getting rather bare. But, I cannot go to sleep at night unless they get their meal. And, if I report them to local pet agencies, they will euthenize them since they are not adoptable. I am at such a loss.
Ideally, I would love for them all to go to homes, but, they are feral and most agencies will only catch them to spay or neuter and then release them again. They are truly not adoptable...and my heart is really breaking. I don't know what to do at this point.
If there is anyone out there who can shed some help in my direction, I would be most appreciative. If you know of someone or an agency that could help me...
Btw, I live in South Florida...
