Most Recent Posts Diving into Star Wars collectingPosted Aug-26-07 05:39:02 PDT Updated Aug-26-07 06:06:15 PDT My name is Jon and I am a middle aged Star Wars collector who has just started collecting. I was born in January 1967, so the first Star Wars was soon after my tenth birthday. I have discovered I really like collecting and plan to continue buying and selling to expand my collection. I would like to know more about what the desirable collectibles are and some more about AFA grading. I want to build a good collection on a reasonable budget, have a good investment, and have fun doing it. It is my plan to sell special custom sets, probably mixed lots, and maybe even some singles with two copies of one figure one mint on card and one loose. What do you think of that idea? That way you get one to put away or give away, and one loose figure to check out more closely or add to the fun loose collection. Put it on your computer desk. I like having a little display there. I am buying big lots of figures and going for the best conditions I can find. I always work hard to make appealing sets and have experience in this area from selling and collecting Dungeons & Dragons minis. I would also like to know some more about factory flaws. I have one on a Clone trooper with a paint overspray effect on his weapon and would like to know if it helps or hurts the value of a nice carded figure. |
