FAKE Chanel Sunglasses

I purchased a very nice looking pair (in the photo) of Chanel sunglasses which turned out to be fake and a bad fake at that..........however, they were only 63.00 with shipping so this was my own fault. Therre is no such thing as 63.00 Chanel sunglasses. I am a person who detests fake anything, especially sunglasses and more so purses and there are a lot of fakes being sold on Ebay. But, I conceded to a bargain and thought "just maybe."

The problem as I see it is this. If an item is listed, even if it is the worst fake ever, as long as it is listed as "LV" or "Chanel" or whatever,it is allowed to be listed. If you want to list an item an a "replica" is is not allowed to be listed and I understand and agree with Ebay's position on this totally.

There HAS to be a way to keep people from having the right to sell these items listed as "authentic". I can spot a fake LV a mile away but there are people who don't have the experience to do this. It's great that there is a forum on Ebay to have other Ebay sellers/ buyers look at the URL of the item and give opinions as to the authenticity.

I think there needs to be tighter controls on the foreign or otherwise fakes being sold on Ebay.

Your right, I'm like you I hate fakes. And It annoys the H___ out of me to run a search on LV bags and have to wade through hundreds of BUY IT NOW $58.00 LV bags. U know, I know they're trash but I wish I didn't have to look at all of it trying to find the real stuff. It's a waste of my time.

Why does eBay allow it? They're making a ton of cash off those bogus listings, thats why?

Here's something that I can't quite seem to understand...

If you three have enough money to buy the real LV, Coach, and Marc Jacobs bags, why in the hell would you be looking on Ebay for a bag in the first place? Knowing that maybe 1 in every 300 bags on here is an actual real designer bag.... Why not just rush out to your local LV, Coach, Marc Jacobs reatailer and get the real shit right then and there? Ebay seems like a total waste of your time to me.

Personally, people like you all piss me off. Is it that you too good to be seen carrying something that looks just as good, if not better, as the real bag itself? I mean, is it really that serious??

I'm a firm believer and purchaser of "knock-off bags". If it looks close enough to the real thing, who is really going to question if it is or not? ...Maybe one in every 25 people that I pass throughout a period of time. I know enough about designer bags to spot a "good" and "bad" fake.. and I'd never waste my money on a bad one, nor have I ever done that. I take pride in my handbags, even if they aren't $6,000 or more, a piece.

Just figured I'd share a few feelings with these snotty ass people.

Thanks!!

I agree with the jan 11 post. If you three can't stand the sale of replica or knock off's, then what in the world are you doing shopping for these items online? People that have the prestige and the cash to afford the real thing go straight to the high end department stores and boutiques. As for the one who bought the CHANEL sunglasses for $63.00--who are you trying to kid? You knew this was a FAKE all the way....so don't try to play it off. If you are upset because the product you recieved was not what you expected then that is a different story. I too was ripped off 2 weeks ago. I bought the same thing you did for $40.00 and it was garbage--not even the same as pictured. The fact is these people get away with selling this stuff because we think we will get a sweet deal and we buy....I bet you would'nt be ticked off if the glasses would've been perfect and exactly what you wanted. You would not even care if they were fake!

I'm curious if the sunglasses were new or used? Is it reasonable to think a pair could be real at that price if they are not new? I too would appreciate a reference for sunglasses' authenticity, logos, etc.

However, it addresses the fact that IMO, while I am a girl who loves high fashion, if it is that difficult to decipher a real from fake.....perhaps its time for designers to lower the price or create a product so worthy of the price you can't fool anyone w/an imposter.

I have also just bought fake sunglasses (chanel 5076) paid £100 plus postage so thought they should be genuine. They came with tags, bag, cloth etc etc.......Don't be fooled out there by photo's and Authenticity certificate. They are all made in china and if you do a search for fakes on google you will be amazed!! There are companies out there who actually sell them wholesale to the scum bags who then pass them onto us. The websites for the fakes state they are copies (they all come complete with cases, cloths, boxes etc. They sell them for 30 dollars a pair (minimum order is 12 pairs) You are not safe, don't waste your cash you will almost certainly be buying a fake. Having bought a genuine pair a few years ago (and loosing them in the sea!!)I now that the pearl CC sign on the side of the glasses should not be raised, also the quality of the box (like a car door it should sound right when opening and closing it) the quality of the chanel cloth and sewing of the label are also dead giveaways. Unfortunately unless you have the item in your hand you can't tell the quality from a photo. My advice would be to give it a miss and save up and buy from a reputable dealer.

What suprises me is that China can sell a $1.00 sunglass to the Likes of LV or Chanel and then they the couture house rip you high fashion people off for hundreds of dollars.... yeah.. we can spot your vanity from far off... thats the definition of a true fake.

I completely agree with you. But there's a few things I'd like to say to afulton85... first of all selling fakes is illegal. period. if you look at the policies in ebay it states that even saying "chanel- like" or "looks like coach" is not allowed. So selling unauthentic items is a crime, and can be reported to the designer (coach has a link in their website to report fakes), and can be reported to the united states postal service as mail fraud. People don't realize that even if they don't say an item is authentic, if they have any part of a designer name on them, it better be real. Second, the fakes look like crap. Even most good ones if you get the item in your hands and really examine it or compare it to an item you know is real. And lastly, I personally go on ebay instead of going to the stores because on occasion there are nice used REAL designer bags so they are more inexpensive, but still its made of quality materials, and wasn't produced in a sweat shop by a 7 year old kid who is forced to work without pay. Please do your research next time you decide to leave a rude message

Thanks!
