Most Recent Posts Blimey my last post was depressing.Posted Oct-03-08 14:44:04 PDT Thank gawd things have improved. Managed to get a decent job where I get paid more than my sixteen year old! nervous laugh. Seriously, life is rosy, I just looked though my feedback and people are very kind. I have upset someone though, which is regretable but was unavoidable. But, all is not bad, I've learnt to check everything you are given before listing. Someone had given me a present years ago and told me how much they had spent. I didn't get on with the item - insoles for shoes - I had trimmed them then just boxed them back up in the container they had been gien to me in. Eventually I ended up putting them on Ebay years later. Someone won them, an extremely good deal on the face of it. I was mortified when the unhappy customer mailed me saying they weren't as listed. Apparently the insoles were not what they were supposed to be. The ebay buyer didn't want to send them back, because of the postage, and decided not to leave me negative feedback. For which, I am very grateful. Anyhow, me, me, me. My new job is great, I love it. I like my uniform, my work collegues, I even like my boss! The money is pretty good too. My car will have tax on it! Got to go. Nice long sleep tonight, running my daughter to her work in the wee early hours. 'night. Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to work we go...Posted Sep-16-08 17:06:44 PDT I heard today that I am supposed to register myself as a sole trader if I make and sell things. Very interesting as I don't really make any money at doing this right now. Most things I have manage to get sold for under a fiver usually. Mmmm, not sure what I should do. Probably start with some research tomorrow as I am up early 5.30am to give my daughter a lift to work. Imagine, if this is classed as work, my daughter earns more than I do. She is only 16 and I am almost 40! Seriously, I have to be careful. The UK is fast becoming one of those countries where you think alot more about what you say. Freedom as well as money seems to be flying out the window and we all seem to be just watching it. rainy days and TuesdaysPosted Sep-09-08 06:18:05 PDT Another rainy day in Watford. Very thankful for the car today. I have been hoping for an 'indian summer' but it is looking less likely as the days go by. My daughter has become one of the workers, bless. I just gave her a lift to the interview and they offered her the job right there She is over the moon. Going to have to look for a cheap moped for her now. Hopefully Ebay will come to the rescue yet again. Ebay have awarded me with my own yellow star and I have loads of things up for being sold so it shouldnt be long before I have my blue star. Still loads more to sell once this lot has gone. It's just never enough though. I am constantly coming in to contact with people who want me to sell this and that for them. I don't mind it is becoming a time consuming hobby which makes money so I am not complaining. Got to go and do boring household chores now. Gawd my life is so exciting. sun's back yippeePosted Aug-14-08 09:16:43 PDT It was interesting to read the comments posted after my last post, people are very informative, thank you. It's hard to believe Ebay has been going so long and some sellers have been 'doing their thing' for over ten years! And still look so delightful too. At last the sun has come about again - without the rain. I just come back from posting 50 yeap 50 cvs and covering letters off to prespective employers. It cost me a bloody fortune. Still I just saved some pennies on lunch as one of my neighbours came over with some homemade humous - good too. OOps i have a visiter, must go. Proper Ebayer NowPosted Aug-05-08 07:07:22 PDT I have bidded on an item for my son, I feel like a proper Ebayer now and as I write that I wonder how long that word will be around before it becomes listed in the Oxford Dictionary! I am not the first use though, not sure who that would be. The first person to leave feedback? The first person who ever used ebay? Oh boy they were brave weren't they? Its' a really nasty day in Watford today. Rain and dull sky. Bring back the sun! It wasn't me that was moaning about it - honest. |
