Most Recent Posts Still trying to get caught up...Posted Oct-02-07 17:28:22 PDT Seems like I can never be totally caught up - just as I'm finishing processing orders, in comes another. Just when I finish checking and answering all email, here comes a new batch. Just when I am going to take a break, the phone rings or a shipment comes in. Now, I love being busy and being busy means making money, but I really would like to be totally caught up for say...15 minutes just every now and then! Hotest Selling Costumes this seasonPosted Sep-27-07 08:34:06 PDT Updated Sep-27-07 08:38:44 PDT We've been having a busy pre-Halloween season already and so far our top selling costumes (across all our sites, not just ebay) are: 1. Lederhosen! Men's German Lederhosen are selling well for the 2nd year in a row. Last year, our manufacturer sold out fast. This year, they actually have had them and we've been able to ship a LOT of them. Thought Beerfest made them popular last year - not really sure what the reason is this year! 2. Marie Antoinette costumes. The movie with Kirsten Dunst may not have done all that well in the theaters, but the costumes are! We've been selling just about every variety of them as well as the wig and petticoat accessories. 3. Pirates. Still popular as they have been since the first Pirates of the Carribean movie came out. This year, we are selling more female pirate costumes than male - last year it was the male ones that outsold the women! The hats and boots are as popular as always for both genders too. 4. Harry Potter. Yup, he's still a good seller though we've been going crazy trying to keep up with demand on Gryffindor Sweaters! The new batch is supposed to be in next week (and we sure hope so!), but we've been out of all sizes now for a bit. The wands and robes are also in demand. 5. Angel Costumes. Making a comeback! We really haven't sold a lot of angels since around 2004, but this year, they seem hot again with wings in demand too. It's always interesting to me to see what sells from one year to another. We are now carrying Rubies costumes too though have been so busy, we haven't added many of their pieces to the site yet. Trying to figure out what costume I want to wear myself this year - I did buy myself a female pirate costume so think I might wear that when trick or treaters come to my door, but might change my mind by Halloween. What about you guys? Do you dress up for the holiday? Selling more and more....Posted Sep-25-07 16:51:52 PDT It is nice to clean out and make some money doing it! Got a ton of stuff lined up to list including the shoes and cltohing I've had in stock for a while as well as extra cameras (I have like 9! geesh!), and some of my older sci-fi collectibles from Star Wars, etc. Still cannot part with my Star Trek items (I'm a TOS fan), but some of the other stuff is going to go, go gone! At least I hope! lol Right now, I'm doing the easy stuff- the overstocks and returns from my regular business. I already have photos on them. Even with all the cameras, I don't take very good pictures so that is going to slow me down a bit. Determined to get it all sold by Xmas though! Been selling a few things! Yeah!Posted May-17-07 08:02:09 PDT Okay, I'm celebrating! Been selling a few pieces I've had in stock for a while - always good to clean out! I'm taking a loss on some of it, but at this point, I'd rather see someone get something they love then it sitting in my inventory for another year! Plus some money is better than taking up room! Got more listings to add yet, but so far, so good :) Liquidating Lip Service InventoryPosted May-03-07 09:22:40 PDT I have been a Lip Service dealer for more than 5 years, but recently, they've changed some policies and I've decided to stop carrying them. So, I'm liquidating a few pieces I have in stock here on ebay. Have put up mens jeans and a prom gown so far with more to come as I go thru my inventory. I know I have at least one pleated skirt and one denim skirt of theirs - all of which are brand new of course. Also have more shoes and clothing to put up - incentive to finish my year end inventory! (I know, it's May already and my year ended in December....can I say how much I HATE doing inventory???) Anyway, take a look at my store and my auctions. Let me know if you are looking for something in particular as I actually have a ton more stuff available. My direct email is orders at labeshops dot com - ebay's "contact seller" thing doesn't always work for me for some reason. I also have phone and other ways to contact me on my "About Me" page so check it out. |
