Collectible Ronnaug Petterssen Doll, with Skis


After looking and looking for info on this doll for about a month, I finally listed it today and almost immediately quite accidentally discovered it's a vintage late 1940s to early 1950s Norwegian doll by Ronnaug Petterssen:

Actually I almost kept her for another year because every Christmas I put up a display of vintage dolls and bears (and a reindeer or two ;-) in my entryway. But with no girls in the house (other than moi) I decided to part w/her as a possible holiday gift for somebody.

Like I said, after looking for a few weeks and finding no faces quite like hers, today I even found another of the exact same doll here on eBay (for a lot more I might add) Mine is complete, with skis and ski poles. But if there's somebody out there with more info, I would really enjoy hearing from you. Most of the dolls by this maker that I've (finally) seen are in traditional costumes. Does that mean this one is more unusual? Or are the traditional dolls considered more collectible?
