Embroidery Sewing Machine Singer Futura C-150

Saturday we purchased a Singer C-150 Futura Embroidery Sewing Machine. I finally went to the craft supply store today and bought Stabilizers and embroidery threads to try out the embroidery features. If anyone has any experience with the embroidery machines, please let me know. I'd love to talk with you and share information!  I wonder if the Cross Stitch software will stitch on Aida or just regular fabric?

A counted cross stitch observation.

I enjoy sewing. I am looking forward to a new embroidery sewing machine!!! I enjoy counted cross stitch, crochet, knitting and sewing clothes. I sell counted cross stitch originals designed by my Aunt, Patricia. I have stitched both Aida fabric as well as printed cross stitch. My personal choice is Aida. Simply because it creates even stitches. Between my mother and my aunt I think I have been exposed to every type of fiber art you could imagine. Here is a tip I learned from my Aunt.

The counted cross stitch should flow in the same direction. For example, the bottom stitches should follow the same direction//////////. Top stitches should follow the same direction\\\\\\\\\. Always keep the back as neat as the front. Framed fiber art looks best with no bulk in the back, and when no stray thread  can be seen when looking at the framed front. Thanks for reading my post!
