Threats from sellers

I have experienced a first in ebay - a threatening seller!  I received the following email when one of the sellers I am working with got angry because after waiting two weeks to receive my items I filed a dispute.

"you very lucky - your order wsas shipped yesterday. if i see no cancelation of your fake claim i will give you 3 negatives and email every single seller you are bidding with not to do business with you as yo ufile fake phony claims. looks and smells like a thief !"

I find it amazing to see such anger in someone when they made no contact with their buyer for 14 days after payment was received.  I've had disputes filed against me as a seller when only 7 days had passed and while it's frustrating as a seller I understand a buyers concerns.  That is why ebay has set up the dispute process and set up the number of days before anything can be filed.

Has anyone else run into someone like this?

Unfortunately there are a few people like that out there. Please do yourself and other potential buyers a favor and report that message to eBay for feedback extortion.

No... I haven't run into that. How does that seller know who you are bidding with? I thought we could only see what was purchased once that either the buyer or the seller leaves feedback for the item. That's not very nice that they would contact someone in the future... what gives him the right? I mean isn't it up to EBay to yank someone if their percentage falls too low? Not sure how it works but good luck. PS... if you see anything I'm selling that strikes your fancy... bid... tee hee hee!

Yes, dturnersan, I did report this seller to ebay. He sent the emails direct to my personal email address and did not use the ebay messaging system so I think he probably wanted to avoid being noticed by ebay. This seller has over 16000 feedbacks and I can't believe I'm the first one he's threatened. Hopefully I'll be the last!

I dealt with ONE seller that did this...but I stuck to my guns..got a negative..for asking for a plastic knife that came with the doll..MIND you the doll that I bought was JASON from Friday the 13th...the KNIFE is HALF of what makes the doll WHY I bought it... he was an ass!

Looks like the seller is probably "a fabulous way to do business" (not)

toolhaus is still loading all their feedback info but so far I see 139 negatives, 74 feedback withdrawn, and many many neutrals. Complaints for slow shipping and vindictive feedback.

Stats on feedback this seller left for others:
353 Negative
44 Neutral

Clear pattern of leaving negatives in retribution for neutrals. Calls people names.

This is not someone to deal with.

To answer someone's comment previously, you can check out what people are bidding on and won by using Advanced Search (at the top of your My eBay). Type in the bidders user id and you see everything. I just used it a few days ago because a buyer retracted her bid because she made an "error in the $amount". I reported her to eBay because the "error" was that she won the same item cheaper. I blocked her from doing further business with me because she could have ruined the auction for me.

Ebay don't help. I have been abused by sellers I have paid for items not recieved. I gave ebay the proof of payment this is the answer I got back from live help....Her sales are pretty impressive even with the 19 nrgs she is under the 5%. I was then told to see if my bank could get they money back.

That is one fearful issue I have been very leary of and afraid of with ebay! I have seen how some sellers/buyers retaliate, abusing the feedback system, making me very skeptical about leaving any negative feedback and instead try every way to resolve with the sellers ,especially foreign ones.
I have had a similar potential problem with a foreign seller who didnt send my item for more than 3 wks with no communications, so I did open a dispute but withheld giving any feedback yet til all is said and done. This one is a French Canadian seller who sold me a Laptop before Christmas saying he would send it US Priorty & charged me an additional $49 shipping to do so. [buyer beware!] It is now over 3 wks, still hasnt been received and suddenly the seller doesnt speak English anymore [maybe lost his interpreter?} So I have a dispute open now, requesting a refund for everything, as I see he has done this to others [not shipped when supposed to]as well and is now no longer selling!I brushed up on my old high school French and sent him an email asking where my pc was and when was it shipped as I havent received it. He did answer that [in French} indicating he was checking into it & something about Canadian postal, so I am still waiting ...{?}I find that some foreigners are quicker to threaten however.I now steer clear however of obvious hostile foreign sellers, like the ones that come right out & threaten (-)on their auctions for non paying bidders as that shows they may become a problem in other areas as well. I always pay right at the end of the auctions so avoid any non-paying bidder threats, but when it comes to non-receipt- I am at a loss now & am crossing my fingers that he just send the laptop as I dont want to be out all the money I paid. This messed Christmas up as it was supposed to be a gift for my son.If it comes and I do leave feedback I may write a warning about the lack of communications and terrible shipping to others under a (+) & I will only leave a (-) if I d

I recently had a seller go postal on me because I left a "neutral" feedback. She kept e-mailing me, even after I had told her not to X2. Her attacks were VERY personal, which sort of shocked me. Ironically, she had only 2 negative feedbacks, so she was generally a good seller or people were afraid of her :). Never the less, I turned her into E-bay, and her Email server outside of Ebay as I was receiving the e-mail both ways. I got ZIP for the effort.Further, as I paid for the product I bought immediately upon end of auction, she sent me a polite thank you e-mail. However, once I gave a "neutral" rating, the "postal" reactions kicked in. It was clear she was rating me on my feedback, and not my purchasing.

This is becoming too common. I recently dealt with a nasty powerseller, DISCOSALES04, she sent me a dirty, stained USED sweater, advertised as New. I opened a Paypal dispute and they sided with me giving me a full refund. The Seller left me retaliatory Negative FB and has a long histoy of leaving NEGATIVE FB for her customers who left neutral for her. BAD SELLER!

Not only did this seller send me a piece of trash but then blamed me for it, was nasty and harassing. Oh, and she has been reported and warned for shill bidding with eBay account Caligirl92345 and she also goes by ID: bargain-spot-depot. Avoid this seller!

People need to stand up to the bad sellers and NEG the Negatve feedback always hurts the seller more than the buyer. People realize the feedback system is broken and are smart enough tpo read between the lines.

Always use the toolhaus webiste, read the feedback and contact previous buyers for more information f needed. Don't buy from these sellers and theywill go away!

I have also had the misfortune to have dealings with fabulousway2tobusiness. Very threatening language and attitude and retailation for neutral feedback left by me so that I did not leave negative feedback. The man is out of control and needs help! I am an active buyer and never, never had dealings with someone like this. Also very threatening emails to me directly and not through ebay message system.

I have filed multiple complaints with ebay based on the assistance dturnersan gave me in her comments. This is a time comsuming process because fabulousway2tobusiness always emails outside of the ebay message system but I am trying to be diligent and do what ebay is requesting. I only hope others that have these experiences with fabulousway2tobusiness will do the same.
I am SO sorry for all that have experienced this man's evil threats. Even more so I am sorry that ebay continues to let this man do business - he is exactly what makes ebay an UNsafe place to do business. Fabulousway2tobusiness needs to be shut down.

I am also having problems with this seller and have received threats from him. I am working with ebay and paypal right now. He claimed I used a sniper program (?) for winning so many bids at .99, even though my bids were placed hours and days in advance. Then he doubled the shipping fee because he was losing money on my order. I had received emails after each bid telling me that addtional items would be shipped free. Which I wouldn't pay, though I still had to pay an excessive amount to get my order. When I finally received my order he marked that items were out of stock even though they are still listed. It took hours to untangle the mess and even more items were missing. It is very time consuming to file complaints but I agree this seller needs to be removed from ebay. You can send ebay his emails even though he sent them outside of ebay. You have to cut and paste the headers. I am sorry that I ever bought from him.
