Archive - February 2007 Beginning to think it is possible!Posted Feb-22-07 20:05:09 PST Updated Feb-22-07 20:06:12 PST This is another report on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE! As many of you know I have been on a mission to purge my house of all items unwanted, unused and useless. Under the beds are clean, the closets are clean and organized. No clutter is remianing in the spare bed rooms, Progress is really beginning to be evident. Along the way I have been painting and doing some re-arranging. My rules were simple, you had to wear it, hang it on the wall, eat it, sleep on it, sit on it or have an artistic display of the item. So if it did not meet these standards, it went. This is what is left, 1. Some painting left in mater bedroom. 2. Under sinks in master bathroom and minor painting to do. 3. Minor painting to be done in living room and dining area. 4. Some minor organization left to do in eBay RESOURCE AREA. ( don't you like that fancy name)
I still have some general housekeeping to do, and the kitchen cabinets under the counters are a mess, but those can be included in week to week work. You can go through my previous post on this mission and see how much was done and when this started right after the Christmas holidays. I will be posting a picture tomorrw of the new and improved eBay Resource Area. I am so excited, because now I can move to my outside work ( I love my flower beds) without the fact of my once disorganized home hanging over my head. Still have taxes, but they are almost ready.
If you stopped and read this, just say hello. If you are a mind to, leave your 2 cents worth. Have a blessed night. nigel

DO YOU EVOLVE OR IS THERE A PLAN??Posted Feb-19-07 14:06:04 PST Updated Feb-19-07 14:16:48 PST I have just finished getting the second bedroom finished. As some of you know I have been on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE to get my life and house in order, cleaning out from under beds, closets and getting little jobs done along the way. Well today I finished the second bed room, in looking at it, it occurred to me that I have not had a plan, that my life just evolved. Oh I have plans that are about day to day, month to month. I plan on vacations etc, but I have not really had a plan for anything else. The strange part of this is that for years I have decorated houses for people, changed thier homes up and planned grand events for others many times. In all of those years I allowed my life to evolved. An example is that many of the collectibles in my house are broken, chipped or damaged. Anything that came in and got chipped or broken was fixed and added to my house. My kids are going to be shocked when I die and they find all the broken art pieces and bric a brac. A good many of the things are in my home, because they were family things, like my great grandmothers rocker, that only teddy bears can sit in. Or gifts that I will not give away, since my friends always think they are giving me what I love. So, what I am getting to here is the way this middle bed room looks, I will post a couple of pictures and you can see what I mean.
There are other various things in this room that are added in, at times I add more stuff. But there is no plan. I have often wondered if I were to start with a clean slate and just pick exactly what I like all at one time what it would look like. Yep, my life is pretty much an evolved thing. nigel
ok, I gotta do this now!Posted Feb-18-07 19:27:59 PST Updated Feb-18-07 19:34:21 PST This is the other side of the room (look at picture at bottom of this post) from my desk, I get it organized from time to time, it has things to sell, the big metal cabinet is where I store silver and prints, the smaller cabinet with the colorful front is a packing station, the table in the middle that you cannot see is covered with odds and ends that need to be sorted. I stack packing boxes behind the big cabinet (an old drug store piece). This area is the other side of my office, space that my husbands piles in and watches televison in another part of this room and my ebay storage area, if you look up toward the ceiling I had plans of putting items up higher, that is not working. This area was supposed to be a two car garage, I had it built to be my space to do my ebay work. My muse is telling me that this is next to get organized, as you may or may not know I have been on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE for several weeks getting my home in order and throwing out or putting things up for listings. Along the way I have cleaned out closets, under beds, painted where it needed it, taking one area at a time. The last area to be finished before I tackle this area is the middle bedroom, it was stacked with paperwork and inventory, I only have a closet and some shelves left to take care of in there. My target is to have all of my house clean and organized before I start my spring gardening. Along the way make some money and get order in my life. If you flip back through my post you can see how I cleared my desk and it really felt good. This is my next plan of attack...see below>>>>

OPEN LETTER TO BAREFOOT CAJUN many thanksPosted Feb-18-07 17:42:19 PST I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank this woman for her wonderful artwork. kevin harvic....cars all over the place in the end.Posted Feb-18-07 16:09:07 PST Updated Feb-18-07 16:10:16 PST That was some ending... anyone out there watching the races...Posted Feb-18-07 15:32:57 PST I am at the computer, watching the races ....the big television is in my line of site. One mre reason to add delivery confirmation to your packages.Posted Feb-18-07 12:06:34 PST A good reason to add delivery confirmation to your packages. This customer contacted me today about an undelivered item. So far she has spent a lot of money with me and I of course was very concerned that she had not received this package. Upon checking the status, this was found. Label/Receipt Number: 9101 I left out the rest of the number for privacy I forwarded this to her and then called her personally, she was so pleased with my professional attitude and that I knew the status of her package. I add delivery confirmation to my packages on line and it free or partial cost by adding it on at that site, thus saving you that added expense. I use the papal method and it is taken from my accout, print the label on plain paper and tape to package with clear tape. nigel In dealing with those that are ranting and raving....in my opinion. Humble as it may be.Posted Feb-17-07 08:56:35 PST Updated Feb-17-07 09:03:29 PST I tried to post this on another blog....but I think they changed their mind and withdrew thier post.
This is about those that come here and seem to hurt some of you.
I know that most of you are not going to take what I am going to say seriously, but these people are like the child throwing a fit in the middle of the kitchen floor. If you pay attention they will keep throwing that fit. When these rants start, either don't take it to head and heart or ignore the post. I if you are going to battle with these people do it in the realm of outside of your heart and head. This is just something that is passing through the air and landing on a computer, it is not reality. Reality is when someone is at your face with a arm on the other side of a fist. As long as I have been on the net, I have seen this over and over, and watched those that get involved in this join in and try to deal with the ranting idiot. Then, I have also seen where someone here in the blogs hurt many and once they became cool again every one fell in with them again. They love that control. If you are going to challenge then then it has to be for time and eternity, not just when they are being bad. Leopards do not change their spots. Now mind you I am new here and have only had a couple of encounters, so I may not be as well informed as I should be. bengalPosted Feb-17-07 02:03:10 PST Do you ever sleep?
I just happened to be up, and lo and behold you are here. SO THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO....HMMM and I thought this was funny...Posted Feb-16-07 19:46:20 PST Updated Feb-16-07 19:55:22 PST I want to live my next life backwards.
STILL ON MY MISSON....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT ...and no ugly remarks from my rival sniperPosted Feb-15-07 15:19:45 PST Updated Feb-15-07 15:21:13 PST Best of idea of the day, check this one outPosted Feb-15-07 07:18:00 PST I want to live my next life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy; go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally promiscuous and you get ready for High School. You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby, and then... You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions; central heating, room service on tap, larger quarters every day, and then, you finish off as an orgasm. I rest my case. ok saenzmom, whats next...I is watching you!Barefoot Cajun this turned out sooooooo good! take a lookPosted Feb-14-07 13:56:57 PST This came just in time, my husband thought it was so cool, and tender heart that he is was very tickled.
HAPPY VALENTINE DAY, TO ALL OF YOU! Does anyone else have the blahs...Posted Feb-14-07 12:09:32 PST Updated Feb-14-07 12:15:42 PST The sun is finally shinning here, but it is freezing cold. This is the first time I can remember having the blahs this time of the year. In years past this was the time of the year that you start pulling your store together for the coming year, cleaning out inventory and working on Spring flowers in the shop.... it really cheered me up after the holidays. I am not missing my old store by any stretech of the imagaination, just sick of what I am doing right now, it is too cold to get out and walk, or even to drive into the city and shop. Besides, I really don't need anything. I think one of the things that is really bothering me is that I live in a basicly older age community and don't think I want to hear about who is sick, or dying. That is the down side of moving to an older age group life style. I worked out (exercise class) this morning and the entire conversation was about sickness and dying...geesh. Working in the yard always takes this side of me and stuffs it into the soil, so I don't feel this anymore and winter is still lingering here and will for some weeks I expect. This is not my nature to be down or not inspired to get on to the next project, think I need to do some rethinking here. I am still on mission impossible of getting the house in order, the master bed room is done, except for some touch up painting, and a front bed room is done, need to touch up in there too. Nothing under the beds and all extra stuff is gone. The laundry area is in good shape, and the foyer has had the furniture oiled and things put away, the hall closet is clean, and I repainted the front door. I still have under the sinks in my bath room, and the guest bed room, not to mention the nightmare going on in the eBay room. So there now you have it blogland, my blahs and my status of *MISSON IMPOSSIBLE* Well, this got a load off...feel better already, going to make a fresh pot of coffee.
ok, I have finally had enough!!Posted Feb-14-07 06:18:11 PST Updated Feb-14-07 06:19:48 PST I am so ready for Summer, just get a glass of lemonade and join me. |
