deslexia/dyslexia

Some days as I look back over the day I try and look at the mistakes I made, and look to see what I can do to correct them...I make them all day.

Some of the mistakes are little and some are huge...and some are just annoying, things like spelling a word wrong.  I don't know if when you get older if you brain short circuits or if you are just overwired and it is hard to find the things in your mind that you are looking for. Even wonder if is an early warning of things to come, who knows.

Today,

I burned dinner....

did not get all my packages out.

forgot to feed the dogs at 5pm..it was more like 6:30...

forgot to get gas...

and spelled dyslexia wrong...

just a few of the things that I did not get right or accomplished, there is more...but life is short and sometimes you have to say...enough!!!

There is probably more, but my mind is tired now...and they are  not important anyway, nothing that will make any difference 100 years from now..

((((hugs)))) and blessings!!

I am gone to bed.

DAY FIVE EXERCISE CLASS/DYSLEXIA

This year I have made a promise that I would not winter without having exercise as a rountine...and I started exercise class last week...today is day five.  The class runs from Tuesday -Friday with yoga being Wednesday and Friday after the regular classe.

I can tell you that this has really kicked my butt, and I am a fairly active person.  It is the first time  in my life I  have actually taken a class with and instructer.  Most of my exercise has been in a gym, where and instructer saw you when you 1st came and set you up in systems..mostly doing weight training with free weights or equipment.  I have as a general rule done three sets of 12 on different weights and machines for years and year, and would do the running machines on alternate days... I can say that is class with a small ball, a stretch band and some small free weights is really doing the job.

Since we moved here nearly two 1/2 year ago, I have used walking and no weight training  as my method of excercise along with yard work.  But, I can see now that my program is very lacking...last night was the worst, was totaly wiped out and soaked in the tub for a long time. Every muscle in my body has been attacked.

Now about the dyslexia...I find that if they are doing left...I am doing right...when they change the rountine, it takes me a bit to catch the next  step...for some reason marching in  place and doing things with my arms an  hands in not my strong suit...lol, and God forbid that I have to do something different with the stretch bands....my right side will figure it out...and my left side is out of step everytime.... if they are kicking, stepping  and doing push outs with your arms and hand...trust me something is not goind to work with me, by the time I get it, they are on to the next thing....(the reason why I always did a personal trainer and lifted weights).

But, all of this said...it is a great class, and when I do the yoga, that is really wonderful...very relaxing....I am not so cool in the intertwining of the hands thing....but other wise pretty o k.  It  is reminding me to slow down and breathe.

So as this progresses, I will see how much stonger my body will become, not to mention that the stress moves right out of your  body.......at the end of the day , you want to go to bed.

What I am finding interesting, is that while these are great exercises, that many of the people that are coming sit in a chair and do the same things...marching in place with thier feet and are doing quite well....so it is a class that a lot of the folks can do that really can't walk well or stand.

((((hugs)))) and blessings

day four

Of exercise classes was today...my entire body hurts..lol.  This is really different exercising than I  have ever done before...

The instructor works with a ball, small free weights and a stretch band...and every part of your body is attacked.  I am doing two yoga classes a week too...so this is maxing out my body right now..

Along with this, I  have been tearing my kitchen apart...every shelf and all of the china, glass and silver has been washed and the design  work-flower arrangements  has been done over......finally finished tonight.

Today we also worked in the yard with the leaves...my goodness how can there be so many, Stan blew them down the hill toward me...and I pulled them to the fire pit. I am also working on the last level of the garden, it is terraced down the mountian in the back of us...and the last level has not been cleared and planted. Today I was able to clear nearly half of it...so planting will begin with ground covers that will survive the winter.

So, that is it for today...I am headed to the tub and then bed....

((((hugs)))) and blessings...

What is Keyword-Driven Content?

Understanding keyword-driven content will have a greater impact on your search engine rankings than any other single activity.

When a search engine user types a word or phrase into the search field, the search engine tries to find an internet page that best matches the request. To achieve this, it looks for the requested words to be repeated several times within a page. For example, if someone was looking for information about Scotland-based fly-fishing holidays for Atlantic salmon, they would probably enter “Fly-fishing scotland atlantic salmon” as their keywords.

Google and the other search engines have to scour millions of pages on the web to find the handful of pages that best match this specific request.

The way they narrow down their options is to try and find a page that has all or most of these keywords in the page's title, metatags and body text. After they have found as many pages as they can with this combination, they rank them on the results page based on the accuracy of the match (and some other criteria, such as how many third party sites link to the page. This is a subject for another article).

It follows then that you must try and think through what your customers will be typing into the search engines to find your site. Brainstorm all the obvious words and phrases. Pick the ones that are most relevant and then write an individual, highly targeted article for every keyword phrase.

Taking the fishing example above, the article should have all of the keywords in the title:

“The 10 Best Atlantic Salmon Fly-fishing Places in Scotland”

The metatags for the page should also reflect these words: flyfishing, fly-fishing, Scotland, Atlantic, salmon, ten best, 10 best, etc”. The better content management solutions, such as SubHub (www.subhub.com) will enable you to enter metatags when you input an article.

Finally, repeat the keywords in the first paragraph of the article and at least one more time in the body of the article.

This combination of keywords will get your page a good ranking.

A few tips to maximise the potential of this process:

1)      Avoid headings that don’t include keywords, e.g., “Adventures North of the Border; The One that Got Away”. Traditional journalists often make this mistake when they write for the web because they have been trained to look for clever headlines with puns and wordplays.

2)      Ensure that the article contains useful, accurate and relevant information for your visitor. Many companies advertising themselves as search engines optimisation experts will create keyword-saturated pages that have little relevant information for the visitor. These pages may get good rankings and traffic, but the customer experience will be so poor that you will irritate and frustrate the reader.

3)      Don’t repeat the keywords too often within a page because the search engines measure ‘keyword density’. This assesses whether the keywords appear too many times given the overall number of words on the page. This measurement was introduced to stop the so-called SEO experts trying to trick the search engines with their keyword-saturated pages.

4)      If you have a good webstats package, it will tell you what keywords people are typing into the search engines to find your site. Look at these logs to help you decide what articles you should be writing.

5)      Continually add new content. Google and the other search engines will visit your site far more frequently if there is new content to index.

6)      It is important to note that successful websites get more traffic through their many individual pages than through their home page. Therefore, treat every page as a landing page and ensure that someone visiting your site for the first time will have a good experience. Most important is enabling them to quickly and easily navigate to other areas of the site from
