Today we are going to Fayetteville to have Stan's ears examined, not that we don't already know that he is losing his hearing, just what degree, and the final admission that it is becoming invasive.
Now understand that the invasion is not on him, but on me, the television is so loud and of course most of what he loves to watch are action movies and the commercials are going to drive me out of the house.
My original scheme was to have him in a room of his own, so that he could do as he please, but NO, THAT WAS NOT TO BE, his majesty or highness (not sure which) had to be in the room that was going to be my sanctuary, plenty of storage, work spaces ect, and I wound up with 1/3 of that room. The other 2/3 are full of big flat screen television, recliner, couch and his favorite chest......
But all said and done, it is fine, if this is retirement and he wants to be within a few feet of me, then so be it, surprisingly it has been fun and he only torments me a little bit of the time and maybe with some kind of hearing aid he will be able to hear the televison without it going full blast.
Fayette is 48 miles down the mountain from here, so this will be our trek to the big city, we will stock up on things that we cannot get up here and Stan will get the big frog statue for the back yard, in his old age he is determined to have all of the fun he can and once I told him of this big frog it has never left his mind.
I will get my packages out early today so that will not be lingering in my mind.
With all of this said...GOOD MORNING!!
