I have a lady on my seller's list who used to work and took up ebay 6 years ago because she wanted to be a stay at home mom. Her feedback is incredible.. she makes over $1000 a month. While in reality that isnt enough to live on.. it is a great amount for a stay-at-home mom. However, it took her 4 years to establish the relationship she has with her customers.. most of which are loyal repeat customers.
Right now Ebay has been paying everything except for my rent. Lights, groceries, gas, insurance, cable. I choose to work part time so that I am always available for my main job...(kids taxi service) and I want to be here when my kids are home. I make just enough at my job to cover the rent if I work at least 20 hours a week.
Also mine is the only income, no child support since April. So far I'm making it, but you will have to work your hiney off.
We are not rich, but we are comfortable in a decent neighborhood, great school district.
I'd love to be able to do it for a living....leave my teaching job and work at home full time....having a real good stab at it at the moment as I am on my school holiday......but, the reality is I'm a long way off doing it full time....once ebay and paypal have taken their slices off a sale, you aren't left with a great deal......but, i'll keep working at it....i will get there one day....i hope.
