Many of you are creating new stylesheets for your blogs and some are not being copied over in their entirety. That has caused some broken codes that have left the title bar at the top of the blog in a different color.

A patch has been added to the Blog Styler tool to help correct that problem in the future.

If you currently have the problem of an off-color or orange bar at the top of your blog, you can go to the customization screen of your blog and edit your stylesheet to insert this red code near the top as shown.

Designers, if you are using the blog styler and are custom editing the stylesheet code, please add your name to the credits at the top of the code. When eBay makes changes to their blog pages, they often test on a few member pages to make sure the styles still work. If a change can not be accommodated, they will be able to contact you to revise your methods, and that will make everyone happier.

I can easily communicate through the anonymity of the forums, but to put myself up on a stage in front of cameras and thousands of fellow eBay members took sheer force of will and determination. Dismounting that flight of stairs, I was extremely relieved to see a couple of sturdy eBay T&S folks to hand me down safely, LOL.

I made a lot of contacts while at the 3-day show, and hopefully they can provide useful information when we need to resolve ongoing blog issues.

Designer Challenge - how small is your "Templette" ???

Everyone is in a hurry with the bustle of summertime activities, so now is the time to get back into fast, fun, and free mini-templettes!

"Templettes" are real auction templates designed on a miniature scale; and they don't require that the user have any knowledge of HTML, so they are the perfect transitional step for sellers who want to eventually migrate to real templates - or for those who simply want a lean, mean, selling machine.

They are easy to make, use, and maintain - the perfect opportunity for designers to introduce themselves, and for sellers to experiment with outside templates.

The key to using Templettes is that they are pasted into an eBay "Insert" on the listing form or in Turbo Lister, where they are permanently stored and are always available when starting a new listing. Of course, they could be pasted directly into the HTML tab instead.

So take the challenge and see if you can create a mini-templette in less than 1000 characters!
You don't have to be a designer - perhaps you just know how to code a little.
