I purchased some sandpaper letters the other day.  My kids reacted in two ways.   Most LOVED them but some of my more defensive kids were repelled by the rough surface.  I'm looking for some softer materials that would be more appropriate for these guys.  I'm thinking something soft and bumpy.  We tried flannel but that REALLY set some of my guys off!  A rubbery surface might be better.  Any ideas?
