I want to try something to increase my sales and wonder how it's working for some others... Anyone got any info? TURBO LISTERPosted Sep-22-07 22:35:55 PDT Hi, Does anyone know if Turbo Lister is still supported, or do we have to use Turbo Lister II? Keyword SpammingPosted Sep-17-07 21:04:43 PDT I'm love buying vintage eyeglasses but have had alot of the auctions I was bidding on ended. There's recently been a huge crackdown on keyword spamming. Thank goodness I haven't a problem with it but I've notices that some sellers are hit hard by it and some are totally skating by. How does eBay pick and choose who's auctions to end? Then there are some sellers that not only use pictures of famous people in their gallery but use the key words too. How on earth do they keep on selling?? It's very confusing. It's anoying to have auctions you are bidding on ended. Anyone else had this happen??
Turbo Lister 2 HelpPosted Aug-18-07 22:41:20 PDT Hi everyone, I'm trying to use turbo lister 2 for the first time. I can't get it to download all my current listings. It does the store listings, but not the auction ones. Anyone had this happen? Live chat says the turbo folks are only there 8-5pm.. Anyone seen Noritake2?Hijacking sagaPosted Aug-17-07 21:22:28 PDT Last week my eBay account was hijacked. After having my account put on hold by both eBay and Paypal I'm getting back to normal. Everything was checked out and cleaned up by both parties and I was set on my way to resume my sales. 5 days later I began seeing more evidence that my account was tampered with. The only place that wasn't check out was AUCTIVA. The hijackers were getting into my account through AUCTIVA. If you have AUCTIVA please be aware that it could be a security risk to you. It's vital that you have a hard to crack password there. Someone has been going in and changing the paypal pay to email account to one other than my own. It was not on all listings. That's what made it hard to pinpoint. Now I'm trying to switch over to use turbo lister for my listing uploading. Anyone here who's been using it for a bit that could give me some pointers? I couldn't even upload my current listing into turbo. My store listings transferred into turbo lister, but not my auctions. What's wrong? HELP... Clue you've been HIGHJACKED on eBayPosted Aug-11-07 21:22:20 PDT Are there many of you that have had your listings highjacked?? Well, it's getting more and more common. You can be highjacked without someone learning your password. Yep, that's right. I was. They only "jacked" half of my listings and the others were left alone. Anyone else had this happened? Here's how I knew. Yesterday I was looking to see if anyone had paid on the listings that closed Thursday night. I had a notice on My eBay that someone had paid through Paypal and the payment was pending. I didn't get an email from eBay or Paypal telling me about the payment. When I went to paypal through the eBay link a page pulled up that asked me to create a paypal account. Very odd... I went ahead and logged into paypal and looked at my overview page a big no-no as it could have been a spoof. There was no pending payment. After hours of contacting eBay then Paypal, and back in forth... I had another payment that was "pending". Same senerio. No pending payment to my account. Paypal finally looked into it and looked at the payee's accounts and they did make payments to an email address that was not mine. I ended up calling eBay on the phone. This is when I found out my account had been highjacked. Half of the listings had the email address that the paypal payment was sent to changed. Yep, half... The others still had my email address. How on earth could they change only half of the listings??? There's only one place in eBay were you put in your email address. I checked and mine was correct. An eBay whiz had to go in and delete all affected listings one at a time. I ended up losing 3 really good sales that were over $100. One had not been paid for and 2 were paid to a wrong account. I assume Paypal will correct that for those poor folks. I have no records left in my account of who the buyers were. Really no record of the listings at all. I'm going to have to redo each one. Sorry this is so long. Anyone know how this could have been done?? Auctiva ~ need help with eBay tokenPosted Aug-11-07 20:21:13 PDT Yesterday my eBay account was hijacked. eBay put a hold on my account and then ended all listings that were tampered with. Now I'm trying to get back up and going. I use Auctiva to list. My problem is that since changing my eBay password, Auctiva can nolonger access my account to add the new listings. Anyone know how to generate the new token? Auctiva is a little slow in answering the email I sent them for support. Thought I'd try here.
Here's a Toast!!Posted Jul-22-07 01:09:14 PDT Pissed off and P'd on 2Posted Jul-22-07 00:19:37 PDT What's happening in this world. I has a "fine gentleman" purchase a pair of vintage eyeglasses. They were $7.99. He emailed me after a few days saying he wanted to return them. I have a very generous return policy. You have 7 days to return and you receive your money back. Buyer pays postage. He agreed with that and returned the glasses. When they arrived they had been put in a regular envelope. These were wire framed glasses with a bakelite browline. Of course, they were crushed beyond repair. And of course, I won't be able to repair them. I took multiple pictures of the damages. He accused me of bending them myself. Then he admitted that he may have been "absent minded" and sent them in the wrong type of packaging (I had sent them in a very nice priority mail box). He said that since He was out alot of money that I should refund his costs. Then he asked that I refund half since he was the loser on this deal. I reminded him that I had to purchase these glasses for $5.99 and paid $4.60 to have them mailed to me. So, he asked for half of his payment. I sent a reminder that this would amount to a $4.00 refund and asked if he agreed to that. His response was that it wasn't fair to him. I have not contacted him further. What on earth would you do? I really considering ignoring any further email from him and reserving giving him feedback in case he leaves me a poor rating.
