Most Recent Posts You never know who is watching you????Posted Mar-13-08 11:37:48 PDT Updated Mar-13-08 11:38:31 PDT Personalized Plates Today I had to step out of the scrapbook world and do errands. Yes, I broke away during the day which I don't do very often but I could not put off this any longer. My errands took me on to the next city which I had a series of stops to make. The last one being the doctor and then of course 7-11 for my diet coke fix. I proceeded the journey back to the city where I reside as I need to visit the pharmacy to drop off some prescriptions. It was one of those days I want to make a quick stop and get back home. I was in the store for a little while and was coming back out to my car and opened my door and I heard some lady yelling something. I did not shut my door and she was still yelling something which I could not hear until she approached me climbing out of a big yellow truck with these shiny chrome wheels puffing on her smokes all dolled up in her white lipstick (Yes you read right) WHITE LIPS STICK...I could not help but notice ( also she was near my age later 40's but tough looking). She said we have been following you from the last city I was in to here and she said I am not afraid to talk to anyone but my daughter is being accused of stealing money from a grocery store and she needs a lawyer and we saw your liscense plates that say LAW 57 so I told my daughter to follow that car. I replied to her, I am not a lawyer but I can refer you to a friend who is. Talk about FREAKY. They followed me for nearly 15 miles and I did not even know it. I am debating know whether those personlized plates are a good idea. Any one else have a crazy adventure such as this. I know I am not alone. My advice to you is watch the cars in your rear view mirror as you never know who is behind you. Happy HalloweenPosted Oct-31-06 12:42:31 PST Updated Nov-01-06 03:51:57 PST Wow! Where has the year went? It seems I was just packing away the Christmas Tree and now it is time to get it out again. Halloween is my favorite time of the fall season. It always brings excitement to our house. The neighborhood is bustling with children from every Nationality and Country. I already know who will be "ringing" the bell first tonight; our special guests Abby, Ali, and A.J. from next door. They will be expecting their Box Teddy Grahams each and of course candy. I am excited to see their costumes ( I think they are going to be Hamburgers & French Fries). I remember my first Trick or Treat Venture. Mom always told me stay in the block. Well of course I stayed on the same side of the street but found myself over 10 blocks from home, crying and ringing the doorbell of my last house. I told them I was lost and to my surprise they knew my parents (oldtime friends) and called them to come and get me. My all time best Halloween Memories was always putting on one of the biggest Family Halloween Parties in our small town of 110 in South Daktoa. It was a grand event and drew more people each year. One of the craziest dishes brought to our house was a bed pan filled with chocolate pudding and gummy worms. Adult humor at its finest. It is difficult to be here in Washington DC away from our 6 grandchildren. I have just returned from a home visit and took their Trick Or Treat bags to them this year. I look forward to the time when we can move closer home and be apart of our grandchildren's growing years. Happy Halloween to Gracelyn, Kerstyn, Jeralyn, Caleb, Camden, and Dylan. We love and miss you. Share with me some of your fondest Halloween memories. Have a safe and Happy Halloween. Judy |
