Oops... Only me... LOL

If any of you can use a laugh I think you might appreciate this...  :-)

I ran out in my car during lunch to work on a couple of orders (see the assembled snowmen die cuts in my store to see what I was working on) and when I was getting into my car I split my pants!  And I have to tell you, now I remember why I hate to buy and love to sell.  I purposely went to a store with less foot traffic to buy a new pair and ended up spending 45 minutes to an hour trying pants on.  I HATE clothes shopping!  Is there something wrong with me?  The last time I bought pants is two years ago when I was returning to work after having my youngest.  Goodness, I sound cheap.

Hope you have a great day and all the splitting you do is into laughter!

I'd love to know if it's possible to subscribe directly to other people's blogs - do any of you know if this is possible?  Thanks in advance!

At work with no sleep...

My mom and I call days like today "Sunglasses Days", meaning we really need to wear sunglasses at our desks to hide the fact that we're sleeping, lol.  I was up until 4am listing more products in my store and filling orders.  On nights last night I don't bother getting into bed when I'm ready to sleep because I don't want to wake my husband.  So he came out to wake me up this morning (5:30 - ahhhh!) and assumed I had slept the whole night through.  I asked him if he wanted to see my postal receipt from my 3:30am run to the post office.  I think I'm having an affair with the APC (Automated Postal Computer?).  To those of you who have one of these - don't you just LOVE it?  To those of you who don't have one, I pity you.  On occasions when I have a box too big to use the APC or an international package over 1lb I HATE standing in line, although I LOVE the post people at my local post office.  When you're on a first name basis with the postal clerks in a town as large as mine you know you're there too much, lol.

Funny story - last summer I took my five year old with me to mail a few large boxes and on the way there we stopped to get him a slushy.  He wanted to take the slushy inside and...  dum de dum dum...  I let him.  He held my keys so I could get the boxes and we went inside.  I had to finish taping up a box and without thinking I quickly took my keys out of his hand to cut the tape.  I didn't realize the keychain was helping support the slushy.  To give you a mental picture, I saw the slushy fall in SLLOOOWWW motion to the floor, bounce, and when the lid flew off I was covered with RED slushy.  And besides the floor I was the only victim.  It was in my hair, up and down my arms, embedded in my favorite flip flops (now a resident of a dump somewhere) and all over my clothes.  Needless to say my poor son was devasted.  We quickly finished up our business at the post office and I took him back, in my slushed up state, to get another slushy.  If there is a lesson to be learned from all this, leave your beverages in the car when you go to the post office.

On a weird side note, on a recent trip back to my hometown in Western NY, I was surprised to find a Starbucks inside my mom's bank.  (The Sip from Sip and Scrap comes from my love of coffee and dream of opening a Coffee/Scrapbooking Shop so I LOVED the chance to indulge in a $4 latte.)

Anyways, it's time to put the sunglasses on and (pretend to) get some work done.

Hope you all have a GREAT day!

How much do you send on stocking gifts?

So my husband and I are arguing about how much to spend on gifts for our little boys' stockings.  I understand that this isn't necessarily the place to put the hottest new video game of the season, but why fill the darn thing with junk?  Or candy that will make them out of this world hyper for the rest of the day if he even allows them to eat it?

So my question for you is...  how much money do YOU spend on gifts for a stocking?  And do you have any suggestions for a 2 and/or 5 year old boy?

Sip and Scrap's Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I can't promise that I have been a perfectly well behaved lady this year but I have thought hard about what I would like this year and here it is...

I would like for a WHOLE lot of scrapbookers and stampers out there to enjoy products from my store.  Could you PLEASE send their significant others, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, etc. to my store and have them buy some of my products?  I know my products will make the recipients VERY happy and perhaps these feelings of happiness will make up for when I got mad at my kids and husband or occasionally didn't clean my room or office?

Thanks, Santa!
