Assasination

As the tenth anniversary of Diana's death approaches, more details of the events leading up to the crash in Paris continue to emerge. Also, there is much confusion about exactly what happened during, and immediately after the collision in the Alma tunnel. Whether you believe in the conspiracy / assasination theory or not, please post your comments on this blog.

During the last ten years many facts, opinions and reports have been published and recent polls reveal that four out of five people now think she was assasinated to make way for her husband to marry Camilla Parker Bowles.

We all know that Henry the eighth bumped off wives regularly, and few can deny that Diana's death was a tad convenient for some people.

Many public figures and celebrities enjoy media attention and publicity when it suits them. Those same people often get prickly when things aren't  going so well, and start babbling on about their privacy.

Diana became the most popular woman in Britain and was admired for her charitable work around the world. Her public image did much to promote the royal family positively in the early days of her marriage to Prince Charles. However, as the difficulties in her marriage unfolded, the media coverage became less attractive for many in the establishment. She became increasingly difficult for the Royal family as she publicly critisized her husband and cast doubts on his integrity.

Many of the issues surrounding the 'accident' have never been fully or satisfactorily explained.

The white Fiat Uno claimed to be involved in the accident was not found at the scene.

French investigators claimed that Henri Paul was to blame for the accident after relying on blood tests showing him to be three times over the alchahol limit. Blood tests, supposedly taken from Henri Paul, show levels of alchahol in his blood that meant he would hardly have been able to stand, let alone drive a car. These blood tests also reportedly show Henri Paul had breathed in an extraordinary level of carbon monoxide equivalent to those of someone committing suicide by putting a rubber hose from the exhaust into the car. The recorded level of 20.7% would have left Henri Paul on the verge of a coma, certainly unable to stand and quite incapable of driving a car.

CCTV camera footage shows Henri Paul leaving The Ritz hotel walking normally, and even stooping to retie his shoelaces.. He was apparently killed instantly by the impact, therefore not breathing in any exhaust fumes and Dodi Fayed's blood tests showed no sign of carbon monoxide in his blood. British investigators have also claimed Henri Paul was affected by anti-depressant drugs of which no medical evidence exists.

Think about Diana's situation for a moment. How many reasonably intelligent, and devoted mothers do you know who would let a drunk driver chauffer them at high speed late at night? It just doesn’t make sense that Diana willingly entered a life threatening situation, even in the midst of a love affair and being persued by some irritating photographers.

The Royal family showed limited sadness after the accident. Compare the stony faced images of the queen soon after the loss of the mother to her grand children, to the tears and blubbering that followed shortly afterwards on the decommissioning of the royal yacht. The royals stayed in Balmoral for days and it seemed to many people that they only returned to London when public opinion was approaching hysteria at their coldness.

Reports suggest it looks increasingly like Diana may have been pregnant immediately prior to her death. Embalming a body, prior to post mortem is against French law and instantly disguises a pregnancy. Yet her body was embalmed, although Dodi Fayed's was not, and both bodies were repatriated within 48 hours eliminating the need to preserve the bodies.

The French authorities have now locked up the files and evidence for fifty years - Why?

Every major accident or crash scene, is automatically sealed off by police whilst forensic evidence is gathered. However, in this case the crash scene was not sealed and the Mercedes car which they were travelling in was removed from the scene even before Diana was taken to the hospital. This hasty removal of the car is so against the normal procedures that one has to ask why? Well, one answer is, it prevents any reconstruction or investigation into the cause of the event, which of course, is ridiculous.
