ANIMAL RIGHTS ASSAULT ON EBAY HATCHING EGG SELLERS

The following is a concensus of information that many groups have decided to stick together on regarding eBay & the findings obtained.  You & your groups came up with much of this & the groups that have been connected with us have decided to use your suggestions & add to them.  Please read the findings & then the response that we have all agreed with sending to eBay.  We need to stick together so that eBay knows our clout.  Thanks ^Fellow eBay Hatching Egg Seller^

Ok Folks.  We have found our way to the very ROCK BOTTOM of this mess by reaching an official named Charles

  What has happened at eBay is that, once again, ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS have infiltrated the system (en mass)  reporting every single actual transaction number  (yesterday & the day before) listing them individually & seperated by comma, on eBay with a sale of CHICKEN HATCHING EGGS.  They reported everyone that was deleted as having a listing with the sale of a LIVE ANIMAL on eBay.  Anything else you have heard has been a guess even if you got a technician response.  This is the reason.
 
We knew there was something stinky in Denmark!!  The reason for the shut-down was the accusation of selling LIVE ANIMALS & without even checking for accuracy, the sales were deleted.  The computer automatically does this until the dispute is settled.  Technicians were told that the Animal Rights Activists responsible were also complaining that the eggs should be mailed using express services because the"EMBRYOS ARE LIVE & DIE BEFORE MAKING IT TO THEIR DESTINATION"!!  To which we have to laugh at the irony of it all.  A human fetus is not even ALIVE according to these same morons but an embryo in a hatching egg is??!!    This world has gone nuts!!
 
So there you have it.  ANd we're told by an eBay official, that you can expect more of it until eBay figures out what to do with the system that works for everything else but these hatching eggs.  We have all seen one messageboard after another get shut down by these wack-a-doodles because they accuse people of "FIGHTING CHICKENS" when it couldn't be further from the truth.  But these companies do not want to mess with the clout & power the activists carry.  We can't blame them.  So regular folks just trying to pay the feedbill & talk about what to do with a sick chicken or how to breed one or another chicken to get a certain color...well....we are the ones that suffer and have our individual rights & freedoms stripped away in layers...IRONICALLY...in the name of the ANIMAL'S INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS & FREEDOMS.  Well, we don't know about all good folks but many of us have always thought of ourselves as a guardians & preservationists of the rare & endangered but we don't count in the big picture of ANIMAL ACTIVISM.  Can you tell, we've had it??  Today is our day to vent & it has been bottled up for a long time as we have watched so many good people in this business get trampled on by these FREEDOM THEIVES.  It took a lot of digging and sleuthing but we found the  bottom of this & now we're mad.  While we blame eBay...they, in all honesty...have been caught between a rock & a hard place just like everyone else running up against Animal Activism.  EXTREMISTS ALL-ONCE AGAIN!!
 
 
 
If you would like to join in a large group effort to show eBay that we have banded together on this, you can do what the rest of us are doing.  We are copying & pasting this whole letter or just  the following into all of our complaints to eBay.  Writing the same thing shows them that we have contact with one another as a community and that we will boycott eBay if need be.  They need to know that our good reputations & loyalty to eBay as, sellers making money for them, speak louder that any efforts by Animal Rights Advocates.  Here is what we are posting to them & good luck!::
 
Message: With regard to your REMOVAL of Hatching Eggs sites over the last 3
days:

Our customers know that all hatching egg sellers ship via Priority.  We'll also
put our personal emails into each auction so that customers can contact us for
info. 
 
We  reject your policy based on facts:

1.  Eggs are not live animals. Unless you want to get into the politics of human
vs fetus and egg vs embryo & have a supreme court decide this.

2.  Shipping via overnight they still have to travel the same distance to their
destination.

3.  Shipping via overnight will not guarantee safe handling by the post office,
& the verdict is even out on faster service.

4.  Customers WILL NOT tolerate high shipping costs.

5.  Some customers who live rurally won't be able to receive eggs via overnight
because the post office doesn't ship to them overnight.

6.  Some sellers, can't ship overnight because their post office doesn't offer
it.

7.  Ebay will lose lots of business over this one stupid ruling and more little
egg embryos will wind up "ABORTED".  Imagine the irony.
 
8. Loyal, dedicated sellers should mean more to eBay than ANY Animal Rights
efforts to shut us down. 
We make the money to line eBay pockets...NOT ANIMAL RIGHTS ADVOCATES!!

We are being forced to switch to eggbid.com by your new policy decisions because we
still have a need to feed our livestock through sales and to join others in
encouraging fellow breeders to do so as well.  There is quite an email
discussion ring going on over all of this as it is.  We have banded together,
joining the crowd in boycotting eBay & we are sending out press release noise all over the internet
about our group decisions.  We do not deserve this.  We have been good sellers &
good customers...not to mention loyal! 
This is the thanks we get?  Well, NO THANKS!!

The Gypsy Keeper

Hi everyone.  My name is Annie or The Gypsy Keeper.  I am your blog moderator and a Project Breeder from South Florida.  Within eBay I go by the name of smpoultry. I sell hatching eggs on eBay to help pay for feed but like most Project Breeders, I will never earn a living or become rich working in this art.  I have an eye for selective breeding and have been in the hobby/art for well over 33 years.  Yes I started at the age of 12 so you can do the math as to how old I am.

I am currently working on the introduction of Key West and the Cuban Bolcillo chickens.  In addition my line strengthening projects include the Denizli Longcrower, Old English Game Bantams, Japanese Bantams, Malaysian Seramas, Silkies, Cochins, Egyptian Fayoumis, Frizzles, several lines of Old English Games and Peafowl.

Anyone interested in the breeds or lines that I have need only write to inquire.  I sell chicken hatching eggs for $1 each and $8 S&H.  It's standard pricing for me as I have to feed these guys and can't afford to just give anything away.  I expect it is the same for you and I'll expect to pay your price for eggs as well.

I would be interested in inviting other project breeders to work with my lines and get the word out on them.  Especially the Key West and Cuban Bolcillo breeds.  I would also be interested in obtaining new bloodlines for several projects I am working on.  Feel free to contact me if you have something I have and want to work together.  Even trades work for me and I love to share my lines.

I can no longer ship lives as of January 2006.  It killed my hobby.  I used to ship lives everywhere but when USPS changed the rules, it caused me to have to drive all the way up to Orlando (8 hrs round trip) and therefore caused shipping lives to be too cost prohibitive (time & gas).  I have done nothing but sell hatching eggs since.  This a terrible thing for a project breeder but it's what we've been reduced to.

The purpose of starting this blog is to connect Project Breeders working within eBay and to introduce those interested in the art of Project Breeding to its rewards. Networking with one another has benefits for both the breeder and the breeds.  Hopefully this platform will be inviting enough for those interested so that we can all get to know one another and perhaps help one another out in finding connections for the lines we are currently working on. 

You are cordially invited to introduce yourself, your current projects, your thoughts on and your style of project breeding, your location and anything else you may want to voice about.  For those interested in entering project breeding, please introduce yourself and let us welcome you to the world of project breeding.  It is our hope that you will find this blog helpful and our participating bloggers a plethera of information on the art of project breeding.
