Hello eBay! I'm glad eBay added this blog feature. It's neat. But you're not here to listen to me talk about how much I love blogging. Nope, you're here for business card printing and design tips. So let's get started. I'm a former business card designer and business card collector, so I think I can give you some really helpful tips. Just wanted you to know that so you wouldn't think I was just throwing stuff out with no expereince to back it up. First of all, you may want to reconsider printing your own business cards. I'm sure some of the sellers on here will disagree, but printing your own business cards with those Avery products sometimes produce bad results. It's ok if you have no other choice. But there are so many online business card printing services, until it's pretty easy to find an inexpensive printer. Professionally printed business cards look more professional than those printed on home computers using those "tear-off" business card sheets. This is mostly because the paper is so thin and fragile. The paper bends and tears easily. But this is understandable because paper used for home printers can't be too thick. As far as design goes, less is often more. Some people go nuts trying to squeeze too much information onto a tiny business card. Just go with the most important information and forget the rest. Or if you just must put your life story on your business card, consider double-sided printing. The biggest business card mistake lots of people make is using too many fonts. If you're like me, you've got hundreds of fonts on your computer. And it is tempting to use them all at one time or the other. But never use more than two fonts on your business card. More than that and your card will start looking like one of those ransome notes with the cut out letters.
