Handcrafted & Gemstone Jewelry

Summer Craft Fair/Festival Time is Here!!

The days are warmer and sunny here in Northern California and the beginning of the summer Festivals and Faires has arrived.  I signed up for booth space for Cloverdale Spring Festival, Saturday, May 10th, the day before Mother's Day.  I'm hoping this will be a good day for folks looking for Mama gifts.  As time allows I'll include a few photos of some of the new pieces I'm taking for sale.

I even purchased a canopy tent to shade me from the hot sun (Cloverdale is further north of the San Francisco Bay Area and it gets hotter than...well, you can imagine).  This will be my first time as an outdoor vendor.  I had a booth at the Gem Faire in Santa Rosa, CA a few years ago, but it was indoors.  I'll let you know how it goes.

OK, the Cloverdale thing was pretty much a waste of time and gas.  I did make some sales and even got one custom order, but the turnout was low, and the wind was high.  Had to take down the tent before all my jewelry displays blew away.

But that's ok...I'll be at the Cotati Jazz Festival (my home town) on June 14.  The Plaza has lots of shade trees and the music this year will be 'Swing.'  Reminiscent of the big bands of Glen Miller and Benny Goodman.  I admit, I listened to my parents vinyls of Glen Miller (Little Brown Jug and In the Mood are a couple of my favorites.)  I'm a rock and smooth jazz gal myself, mixed with a little country (I'm from Bama).  Actually, I just love music...

I'll be making more pieces for sale in the next few weeks.  I'll try to get some pix on here real soon.

Carnelian and Goldstone, hand wire wrapped in Copper.

Petite Pink Pearls and Pink Swarovski Crystals in Sterling Silver with Matching Earrings.

Sea Green Pearls, Chalcedony, and Foil Glass Beads with a Removable Pendant in Sterling Silver.

I hope you like them.  I'll be adding more items soon.

Hey Tru,
Me too...this is basically a one day street faire and the booth was only $50. I also signed up for the cotati Jazz Festival...also a one-dayer. I did the Gem Faire in Santa Rosa in 2004 and the booth space was $600! But it was for a 3-day gig. What with $700 liability insurance policy I about broke even. Since I was local I did get some home jewelry shows out of it which made the difference. Where's the Steppin Out Festival?
