These Techniques came about thru my efforts to combat depression. And the Smile Cards have been useful to one woman (that I know of) recovering from the effects of cancer and chemotherapy.They are about focussing thoughts on something light and cheerful rather than dark and dismal. Instead of thinking about things that went wrong or didn't work out in the past, think about things that brought joy - that made us smile, things that make us smile here & now in the present. Be in control of your thoughts - you make the choices about what your day is going to hold (This Day Blessing 'I bless this day with...') and foster an attitude of gratitude (Gratitude Declaration) - I don't know why that works, I just know that it does help make life flow more easily. The Ponder This Cards can inspire higher thinking, can draw attention to how what we think creates what we experience - an amazing revelation to me and one that has changed my life. :) There are lots of other things that I do to keep myself inspired & uplifted - reading is one of them. Reading 'spiritual' or 'new age' books, in particular - but I have found little gems of spiritual wisdom in fiction that I've read, too. You just never know when or where that inspiration will appear to lift you up and just make your day!! I signed up a few months ago (on my sister's birthday actually) but haven't done anything since. That is until a few days ago when I posted my first listings!Scary! Exciting! And then y'day I made my first purchase - that was fun. My first ebay purchase was a dvd of the movie that I bought many many many moons ago when I bought my first VHS tape! How delightful!! So now I'm hoping to make my first sale, very soon. I have to dash off just now - the V8s are racing @ Sandown & I have 5minutes to grab some lunch & get settled to watch the telecast.
