Recipe: Spinach Dip


Ingredients:
1/2 cup spinach (fresh or thawed and drained frozen)
1 package of dry vegetable soup mix
2 finely chopped scallions
1 cup chopped water chestnuts
1 cup mayonaisse (the real stuff works best, but feel free to substitute if you wish)
1 cup sour cream

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving it. Goes great with pumpernickel bread, but could also be used for chips and other breads.

Yum. We always hollow out the pumpernickel bread to make a bowl to put the dip into. Then have another bowl of ripped up bread pieces beside this for dipping. People always wrestle over the slices of bread from the "dip bow" at the end of the get together.
