Most Recent Posts Mice in the homePosted Mar-26-07 23:20:33 PDT Does anyone have any advice on this problem ..... My aging cat, who I adore, has never grown out of the mousing habit. I've seen her sit intently for hours in one part of the garden until she gets her prize. But, she's as soft as her 'Mum' and instead of devouring she brings the creature, alive and scared, to me and drops it at my feet. Then follows the hours of waiting to see if shock will do its worst, or if I'll be able to drive to the woods the next day to free it away from my cat. I've got two mice who are permanent residents with me at the moment, who are well and truly spoilt. One, who I imaginatively call 'mousie' has been with me for getting on for three years. He lost the use of his back legs so would have died if I'd let him go, he's certainly doing something right now. His 'friend' is called 'Duvet'. Another imaginative name, as I found him hiding under mine!! I'm just thankful he wasnt a spider! I cant tell my cat off, she's only doing what comes naturally, but if there was a way to keep the mice from coming into my garden it would be a start? :-) What is it about paperweights .....Posted Mar-26-07 21:13:48 PDT That makes them so addictive? Trawling the listings tonight I bookmarked three, and they're three that I already have! I need help! :-) |
