Watch the Holidays and Fraud here are tips for the Innocent

1. Be especially cautious of anyone that fast talks you on the phone Commit yourself to nothing tell them you will have to check this out with the Better Business in your area.

2. If it sounds to good to be true then it is, nothing is free people are out for something always. Remember money is the root of evil.

3. Remember if you did not buy a ticket or fill out something more then likely you did not win.  If someone calls and says you won the lottery how is that possible if you did not buy a ticket or register in some way, don't get hooked in.

4. If they don't put it in writing it probably won't happen, although I come from times when a hand shakes was enough it is not anymore, get a written invoice or contract and if promises are made like time to complete or items that come with what you purchased or services included get it written on those documents.

Examine with special care any off shore deals check out, get advice, check with people that have done business with them that they do not recommend.

6. Beware of any and all free offers that promise you rewards that just sound to good to be true. Remember that the quickest way for instant scam is to lure you with instant rewards that you may never see or get but it lures you in.

7. Remember gambling is just that a risk, so only gamble on items that you can afford to lose nothing more be conformable that you can sleep at night if you lose something that you invest, rather stocks, purchases any services ect.

8. Some times shipping agents will overestimate the size of the cargo to a customer and underestimate it to the shipping line, to gain on the difference so if ordering large shipments check on that weight and charges.

9. Never get drawn into the "I have a relative that needs to move money from our country" this is a scam they want your money PERIOD don't send it to them.

10. Don't get caught up in what is called laundering money, many drug trafficking and arms trade or fraud and need to laundry their money. Remember nothing is free and if your caught your the one that goes down for this not them they are long gone.  Remember Free or Freedom has a Price.

11. Computer Fraud, oh this can be a chapter in itself, but to just touch base. Don't transfer any of your information over the computer if you do not know them or they don't have a business that you can not check out. Do business with people you have done business with before or if friends or family know them or there is a way to check them out. Remember if it is to good to be true it probably is! 

Yes! Even Ebay has fraud and many people need just be careful check feedback, check out type of items selling and read the information, and ask questions. Read comments left of those feedback you do not have to read them all but look them over. Remember to that in business not everyone can be pleased and after 32 years in business and as hard as we try to please not everyone can be pleased so a few comments can happen because ever customer just cannot be pleased and they try to rip us as sellers off sometimes to, so this can happen to, so consider the whole picture and the buyer and sellers comments. Check out the over all feedback and comments that usually tells the store.

12. Buying cars, or weapons or any item check the serial numbers. Theft here is on the rise, check VIN numbers against the title, and on the car or truck. Do business with people you can check out, and that are not nervous for you to do that. Take down addresses information and names and phone numbers of those people save it and any pictures or information it may come in hand down the road. If gun numbers called id or serial numbers are filed off or unreadable don't buy it. Same with trailers be careful there are many of these stolen.  Remember this!! If it is stolen and the police knock on the door you are a part of that thief and your nightmare will begin when this happens, for you have received stolen property or they will assume you stole it, so keep paperwork and bill of sales and check out the item completely.

Well, as I said when I started we could write a book on this, but maybe through out the season some of these hints will help you buy wisely. Stealing and cons are on the rise Be Careful and THINK ask QUESTIONS and do business by CHECKING OUT THINGS.
