I bought a Marshall JMP-1 and it ROCKS!

Okay, I finally made it work:) It took more than a week trying to find a 220-110V adapter, and when I gave up, almost a week to solder it by myself. Yesterday I finally managed to do it, turn my new Marshall JMP-1 on... and ohmygoodhowcoolitis! The sound is just awesome, so sweet, so heavy, so cool, making your insides shiver and ears reach an orgasm! It just rocks, I can't wait for a chance to record it in a studio.

Trying to make my recent eBay purchase work

Ok, I gave up on finding a 220->110V voltage adapter and decided to make it myself. Of course, I can order one online, but remembering how to solder and building one on my own is gonna be way faster:)) Already bought the corresponding 220<->110 transformer, now all I need is a soldering iron and some time. Wish me luck, heheh:)

My guitar preamp finally arrived to Russia, but...

But I still couldn't manage to turn in on. Spent the whole weekend trying to find a 220V->110V power adapter to make the device (originally made in UK, adopted for the USA market, ugh!) work here. No luck.
Also I found and bought a beautiful piece of software which I think is a must have for every computer. Please welcome: Handy Backup - the best automatic backup software for Windows! I decided to stop at this one after almost four weeks of exhaustive testing of different tools. Highly recommended.
What else... found an extremely funny note published at Google website:
"Be wary of SEO firms and web consultants or agencies that send you email out of the blue.
Amazingly, we get these spam emails too:
    "Dear google.com,
I visited your website and noticed that you are not listed in most of the major search engines and directories..."

Couldn't stop laughing:)

Back from a leave:)

I was on a leave and had some great time:) A lot of swimming, sunbathing, reading, sleeping, eating... and doing nothing:)) With a perfect mood going back to the work now.
During the leave, I finally managed to buy a guitar preamp which I mentioned in one of the earlier posts. However, this time shipping takes too long (more than two weeks already) and
I begin to get worried if there's something wrong with customs... but I hope it'll be ok.

About selling computer software

Being a developer and selling your software must be fun. All you need to do is generate a serial key or, at most, send buyer a box with CD - and this slothful motion of your hand is worth somebody's $100 or even more.
Being a software reseller is even easier. You don't need to do ANYTHING, only buy a set of licenses (often with a huge discount) and sell them for normal price to people who need this kind of a progam (before they buy it directly from the developer).
On the one hand this is hundred times more profitable than selling real things or receiving payments for manual labour. But on the other hand "effective audience" is a lot smaller, people rarely purchase unknown programs - so it's almost impossible to get into the market with a new product (especially taking into account that the market is international). But that's what Internet marketing is about.
