I made all of these using scraps of wood, that I took out of a local cabinet shops trash dumpster, that I wrote about in my guide to garbage picking.  The bear is the first thing I ever made, because it looked like a beginners project and because I found the free pattern in a wood craft magazine.  Come to think of it, I picked the magazine out of the garbage too.  Geez, I'm truly hooked, lol  The abstract plaques were next and I sold seven similair ones at the craft show in Canton Mississippi, which was a great surprise and I have to admit that I really enjoyed getting money for my turned over trash efforts.  The little ones are magnets, and the only thing I had to purchase was the magnet.  Last Christmas I made the lion and lamb, also from a free magazine pattern.  I love this one, I had to adjust the pattern because of the small size of some of my found wood pieces, but overall, I'm happy with it.

My work is not perfect in any way shape or form, but it sooooo much fun, and another rewarding way to turn someone elses trash into treasure.
