Practicalities of Dressing and Keeping Your Dog Warm

Do you look at people that dress their little dogs and think, "hmm, I'd never be caught dead dressing my dog"?

I was one of those people. That is, until a friend bought my little dog a little yellow rain jacket. I dressed my little dog up in his little $9.99 yellow pvc rain jacket and took him out for a walk. Well, I was so proud. Everyone stopped to say how cute he looked. I became the woman who dresses her dog. I don't know how the next step came about, but I then became the woman that dresses everyone else's dog too.

Yup. I became a designer to little dogs. Er, not exactly. Say, more of a dog-designing entrepreneur. How'd this happen? I don't remember the exact moment, but I'd have to say it had alot to do with that little yellow rain jacket.

I hired designers, then told them to make this bigger and that smaller, and so on and so on until I was happy with the little doggy fashions I had just given birth to. I found a manufacturer and a professional sample sewer and voila, a doggy threads fashion line that needed marketing.

This part was new but I was more aptly suited to marketing and selling doggy outfits than creating and sewing them. You see, I don't sew. I took my little doggy outfits and showed them to other doggy business people, of course, with a little humble smile on my face (hoping all the while they wouldn't laugh me out the door, not that that didn't happen at all). Most went, "oh, they're sooooo cute," then they saw the price tag. Well, let's just say there's a reason why we export our labour to asia and other third world countries. Once I figured out my costs, including a hefty labour cost, my little cute coats were a little pricier than the cheap stuff sold at Petsmart.

I then thought, why don't I sell my patterns to sewers who want to save money and make them themselves? This seemed a popular notion with many people I'd meet who liked dressing their dogs. Couldn't that possibly be a large market? People who want funky doggy outfits they can make at home? After all buying designer dog outfits can start at the $100 mark.

So, this seemed an opportune time to launch an online website selling original funky doggy outfit fashions. I called it, TeddysTogs. Teddy's Togs for little dogs.

You can spend a little amount of money and just download and print your way to a new outfit for your dog. That's it, download, print, cut and sew!

If you have a little dog you'd like to keep warm and dry but don't want to pay the hefty price tag for a nice outfit, just go to TeddysTogs and choose the outfit you'd like to make, then click on the download/buy it now button.

That's it. No waiting. Not even any shipping fees or waiting time. Instant gratification.

Your pup will be well dressed by morning.
