Receiving a note from someone makes you feel great!  Taking the time to writing down your thoughts shows you care.

Hi Gloria, I am no help at all - I use the phone, or email. Shame on me, the handwritten note or letter is a lost art. Yes, indeed, it is nice to receive something pretty in the mail. It's a lovely thought. Seems the only thing I send in the mail now though, is bills, when I remember them.

Hi and welcome gloria. I'm afraid I'm not good at sending notes either. It's too bad because it's a lost art I'm afraid. I pick up the phone, email, etc. I will send sympathy cards or sometimes encouraging notes. You have very nice things!

I know that lifestyles these days is more hectic than ever. This is why receiving a hand written note has so much value. I also must put effort into writing notes. Emails are so much easier because you don't have to get out a pen, stationery, and then mail or deliver it. :)
I frown when I receive a bill, but smile when I recieve a note or card from someone special.
