Most Recent Posts What positive feedback means to us as a seller on ebayPosted Jun-25-08 17:32:33 PDT I would like to start out by saying our customers mean everything to us! I do not think that some customers realize how much they actually do mean to us and how much we try to assure our customers satisfaction and that is the purpose of me writing this latest blog. If you only read the first few lines I just want to point out --- - We work extremely hard to assure our customers satisfaction. - We try exceptionally hard to receive positive feedback and 5 star DSR ratings on every transaction. - One negative / neutral feedback has a huge impact on our business and we work proactively to avoid this type of feedback at all costs (in a fair manner of course!). As a seller on eBay, our feedback is our lifeblood. Unless we maintain an excellent feedback rating, we do not do well as a seller on eBay - it is plain and simple. We strive to make every purchase as perfect as possible, but we are human also and run into an occassional problem every once in a while. We acknowledge our mistakes and work to always improve to make The Blue Dot a easy to go to place to shop online. Although not often, when there is an issue, we do our best to fix it right away. We try hard to avoid all problems proactively and are always working to make our marketplace for our customers a better place to shop online. We receive several hundred emails a day and process almost a thousand orders month, but I can honestly tell you that each of my customers is important to me. I try to be as up front and honest with my customers and work exceptionally hard to make sure each person who shops with us is a satisfied and returning customer. In return all that I ask is to receive positive feedback along with 5 star DSR ratings on ebay. If our feedback is high, ebay rewards us as sellers and extends discounts on our listing fees (which are very expensive!). If we receive these discounts we pass on the savings to our customers. Netural and Negative feedbacks are now counted against our feedback score and once feedback is left, it is a permanent mark on our record. We ship all items as soon as possible, and do our best to accurately describe all items we sell. We strive hard to earn positive feedback so preventing any issues that may occur before a customer receives an item is a huge priority! We are a small and growing company so we do not have all the resources available as some of the larger companies on ebay, but I can assure you we will try that much harder to make sure you are happy with your purchase and we want you to tell your friends and family about us. That is the only way can grow and be successful. All, that I ask my customers is to understand where we are coming from and to please only leave positive feedback and 5 star DSR ratings. It takes exponentially more positive feedbacks to make up for one negative. The Blue Dot - Associating a face to the namePosted Apr-28-08 21:56:52 PDT Hi. I am Chris Samaras the founder of The Blue Dot. Although you may not care to know about me, I just wanted to give you a brief background of myself so you can associate my company with an actual person. I have always been an entrepreneur by heart. I grew up around a wealthy neighborhood and grew up with wealthy friends yet I personally was not one of those rich kids. My parents always did well for themselves but they could not afford to give me what some of these other kids had and I would never have the heart to ask for the things they had. I wanted so much and took it upon myself to go get it on my own. Luckily I grew up near a golf course and at age 8 I figured out that a lot of the golfers would lose their golfballs in the wooded areas and ponds. I loved to watch these golfers yelling all sorts of profanitys and screaming at these golf balls. I also took note that the golfers were extreming thirsty by the eigth or ninth hole. This is how I began my very first business. During the slower golfing days I would go fish out the lost golf balls and on the busy days I would sit at the 9th hole and sell them their golf balls back to them along with ice cold beverages. Now, almost 20 years later and several small businesses later I have founded The Blue Dot. This is a company that I intend to make a recognizable brand name that people come to associate with great products, combined with the best prices and best customer service. I love working to build something that I love doing. It feels so good to hear people contact me to say what great customer service they have received or to tell me they heard about me from a friend. I always have an open ear to suggestions on making The Blue Dot a better and more inviting place to shop online. |
