New Witch Listed! Cloth Doll Adventures!

Good Sunday to all you Ebayers! I'm up to my elbows in Halloween dolls and Halloween totes! I do believe I am the luckiest person on earth. I get to indulge my creativity any time of the day or night, whenever the mood strikes. This week it's dolls, next week who knows what it will be? I do love doll making though so that part will stay for a while, I suppose. There is just so much that I want to do! Sometimes I wish I had a magic spell that could create several of me so I could try everything all at once! LOL Dollmaking is not limited to just cutting and sewing. There is also painting, fabric dyeing, beading, and so many different directions. Of one thing I am certain: I put my heart into every creation, whether it's a doll, a witch's hat, a quilt, a purse, a floral arrangement, a clay sculpture, a painted piece; each creation has a little bit of me in it. I can't do cookie cutter creations. I've tried. No can do. Each time I pick up a bolt of cloth or a paint brush, or spy a shiny object across the room, I know the muse will inspire me and she never takes me to the same place twice. I finished a piece yesterday titled: "The Disco Drag Queen Witch Who Crashed Into The Moon". It is for an online doll challenge and it was so much fun to create! I giggle every time I look at her because she is so 70's----spandex, big hair, drunk, hanging off the moon, wearing high heeled boots, and lots of glitter and sparkle! I swear she looks like she's on 'ludes! Oh, come on---I know you know what I'm talking about, and if you don't, you're too young to know! LOL I hope you have a lovely Sunday, and I hope something comes along today to make you giggle. :)

Elinor Peace Bailey Dolls DVD

Greetings to the Ebay World! I have discovered the wonderful talents of Elinor Peace Bailey. I ordered some patterns a few years ago (from Ebay of course) and then recently I ordered epb's instructional dvd from infinityranch on Ebay. Let me tell you-----Mrs. Bailey is an absolute hoot! She is so vibrant and colorful that you can't help but smile through the entire program. I have watched it about 6 times already and every time I watch I learn something new or see something that I missed the first few times! If you are a doll maker or want to be a doll maker, epb will inspire your creativity! Another great site for doll makers is uncommonfolk.com owned by Mary Tressler. Full of patterns and instructions and some of the most beautiful dolls on the internet. I have several of Mary's patterns and am anxious to get started on at least one of them soon! So many patterns, so much fabric---so little time! LOL I have made 3 of epb's designs and I just love them. The August Witch that I listed this week is based on a pattern of epb's. Her patterns are for big dolls, up to 30". I made the mermaid and she sold before I even got her listed! I was so impressed with the mermaid that I think I'll have to made another one. So, if you get the chance, check out epb and Mary Tressler. Both are excellent doll makers, designers and teachers. Hope everyone has a fabulous day! Happy bidding on Ebay!

New listings: witch doll & Christmas fabrics

I just listed a beautiful hand made Halloween witch doll. I could get addicted to making witches! OOOOPS---I already am! :) I will be listing more dolls and lots of great fabric this week. I bought some great Christmas fabrics at an estate sale, along with some other goodies that I'll be listing also. The weather is gorgeous and even though it is August, it's beginning to feel like Fall here in the mountains. Now, if we would just get some rain......have a happy day! The Mouse

Beautiful fabrics listed!

It's Monday morning, and I'm busy listing some of the great fabrics that I purchased at an estate sale this weekend. Great fabrics for costuming and home decor! I would love to keep all of it but I am running out of space to stash my stash! LOL I look at the fabric and I can see all kinds of projects waiting to be stitched up! The wine colored velvet would make a gorgeous Renaissance skirt and the aubergine fabric would make a great corset and jacket to go with the skirt. Oh, the possibilities! Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Sunday Salutations

Greetings, Ebay World! What a lovely Sunday morning it is here in the mountains! My plan for the day is list, list, list. I went to an estate sale yesterday and bought----can you guess? More fabric! So, I've been busy sorting it. One pile to keep, one pile to list. I hate to part with any of it but what in the world would I do with all the fabric I already have? So, I thought sharing would be a good thing this morning. :) I also have some scrubs that I will be listing and another ugly witch that I finished. After I've listed for a while, I think I'll spend the rest of the day in the studio. I've got so many projects I want to do! Ah, the joys of staying at home and doing whatever the mood strikes me to do! Hmmmm....I think I see an afternoon nap in my future! Have great day and enjoy the moments!
