you have to add a whole new credit card and delete the old one

Changing or updating your credit or debit card information

1. Click the My eBay button at the top of most eBay pages. You will be asked to sign in.
2. Click the “Personal Information” link under the "My Account" section.
3. In the “Financial Information” section, click the “Edit” link to the right of the credit
card information.
4. For security purposes, you will be asked to sign in again.
5. Complete the Credit Card Information page and click the Continue button.
6. After reading the Credit Card Usage Agreement, click the Authorize Credit Card button.
