Andy Irons recently defeated floridian Cory Lopez, former pipe master Rob Machado, and rival and current world champ Kelly Slater to win this years' triple crown and the 06' pipe master title. This final heat will go down as one of the best finals in pipe master history. Irons scored a perfect 10 going right backdoor pipe, and another ride of 9+ to take down the title. Conditions were held in classic winter pipeline 8 to 10 foot swells. This win solidifies the rivalry between Irons and Slater, so check back next year to see how this competition plays out!
