Suggestion to ebay for unpaid bidders

I contacted the ebay online rep. about the unpaid item. While I was venting to the online rep., an idea came up! Since it is a contract, why wouldn't ebay charge the unpaid bidder like a bounced check? After all, it is a binding contract! The rep. replied, " Good idea! Please send a note to the suggestion box." Through my frustration, I sure did! She gave me the link.

This is what I got from ebay:

I started buying on ebay last year. I had so much fun selling till recently, when I had an unpaid buyer. I understand it is part of life that things don't always go your way. What bothers me the most is that sellers are the ones that get punished. Not only they had to wait for certain time to re list and get their FVF, but the buyers can go on and buy other stuffs again like nothing happened! Well, I re listed my item and looks like I have another unpaid buyer! Can you see how it hurts sellers and ebay's business? My suggestion would be why can't ebay charge unpaid buyers a fee like a bounced check fee? After all, it is a binding contract when they bid! Thanks for your consideration!

So, does that mean I sent it to the wrong place because the rep. gave me the wrong link or ebay does not want to hear it?

sheesh never heard of rejecting getting suggestions, after all a suggestion is just that something they can take in consideration, but this is basically telling me that my input is not welcome only my money

lol pirate!!!!! just figuring that out?

say ebay has 100 unpaid bidders per every ten million sales that go thru. so ebay looses say a 1.50 while making hundreds of millions. they write that 1.50 off on expenses.

so do they care that a seller might get 2 or three non paying bidders?...............

i am sure that meg is too busy loosing sleep over the hooter girls across from her office rather than if a seller is having a problem!

eBay gives the definite impression that they don't give a flying wahoo about what their users have to say, unless specifically asked. Disturbingly, they plainly state that anything you send to them is neither confidential, nor proprietary, meaning that they may do anything they please with the information.

What I find equally disturbing is the fact that we're supposed to be well versed on all of eBays' policies when the live Reps don't even know the hell the deal is.

It is so true that some of the reps. are not well trained. I got this one rude guy, till this day, I remember his name, blamed everything on me! At the end of the conversation, I hung up and put a remark on the survey," this rep. should be fired!" It sounded like I woke him up and he had to roll out of bed to answer my questions! Gee....

Even though I am a new ebayer, I think I do well on getting how to go about everything. If I don't, I would ask. I do believe in communication. So I do know about waiting for 7 days before re listing my item, file to get my FVF back. I understand how unpaid buyer gets 3 strikes, they would be out! Until then, these people know how to work the system.

My conclusion would be:

I treat people the way I want to be treated. These unpaid buyers are unhappy with their lives so they want everyone else to be unhappy with them! Afterall, most of the time, rules are made to be broken, by the people who ruin everything for others!!!!

I used to get worked up about it...but honestly...after a few years....its energy wasted....we arent going to change a multi-million dollar company.....so we either deal with it or move to another sight....just have fun....
