10 simple and easy eco tips

Be a conscious consumer

1, Buy organic. Organic foods are better for people and the planet too. Prevent the spread of toxic chemicals in our air, water and soil by bringing home organic.

2, Look for concentrated products. These use less packaging and are lighter, reducing the carbon footprint of shipping.

3, Install compact fluorescent light bulbs. CFL’s use 75% less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and last 10 times longer. You’ll save $30 per bulb.

4, Use reusable shopping bags. The oil it takes to produce 14 plastic bags will power your car for a mile. Our reusable bags are more sturdy and comfortable.

Be green at home

5, Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. You’ll save 25 gallons of water a month.

6, Use earth-friendly cleaning products. The EPA says air pollution indoors may be 2-5 times higher than outside. Create a safer home with newer options.

7, Reduce water in your toilet tank. Putting a liter bottle filled with water in your toilet thank can save 300 gallons per month.

8, Turn your thermostat down in the Winter. Lowering your thermostat in the 60-70 range, you’ll save up to 5% on heating costs.

Batteries Pollutions

It is true that the NiMH recharageable batteries are not a 100% GREEN product. But it is a great substitute for Alkaline batteries. My specification says you can use it for up to 1000 times. Even you just use them for 500 times, which is equal to 6000 Alkaline batteries. That is almost 150 pounds Alkaline batteries in weight. And those waste batteries can easily pollute a small lake or a pond, if mishandled by people.
