Most Recent Posts Auction Removals Without Clear or Precise Reasons Instead eBay Using Canned Responses - How About Some Real Human ContactPosted Oct-30-06 20:51:23 PST I had 2 auctions removed recently. Reasons given was Trademark Misuse, obviously, a very very general reason from eBays standpoint. In fact, I was told in the email, that due to security issues, they would be unable to give me a real and specific reason as to why my auctions were being removed. However, I found over 75 items listed, very very similar to mine, with some having just minutes to completion. So, it seems eBay is not always accurate. For example, you can see I am not exactly a rookie and have been selling Lionel Trains for many many years and yet, when I use Lionel in the title bar, according to eBay, it is not a Trademark Misuse.....why not???? Belongs to Lionel and not me...same for the 100's of other items being named and listed. If we do not get accurate information when a violation is claimed by eBay, then how do we correct it accurately so we can then relist the item??? And of course, you can never, and I mean never, get a response from a real live person. They just keep sending you the same-ole canned responses......they must have a million of them. I wonder if these people in that department have a quota to meet each month on removals?? Ah well, on to better things I guess. |
